#905622 Update v2.60

Posted by Rocknoor on 28 November 2014 - 16:11

Agreed that is precisely the problem it no longer becomes pvp it is PvG and they get to decide who wins essentially, I have seen it occur far to often.

While I can understand this in theory, it hasn't rang true in reality. At least not in my experience.

If I'm the only one against 5 in 1 guild, I should have the advantage. I can hit 5 people every hour if I choose to be online. Rarely are more than 2 of those players going to be on at once. The single player can rack up near unlimited points, and the 5 guildmates can't do a thing about it.

Last post on this ladder topic I promise. While you might, and I say might, win the ladder against 5 from the same guild it's probably going to be a pyrrhic victory. Yes, you have the capability of hitting each of them once every hour and gaining points and costing them XP, they on the other hand have the opportunity to hit you 5 times each hour and given the propensity for 100 stams your XP loss can be devastating  until the ladder reset. In addition consider the fact that it's just you on the ladder making sure you are buffed while the 5 can coordinate in ensuring that each of them remains fully buffed against your attacks. While you again might win that ladder cycle against the 5, it's not a fight you can stay in for long as a prolonged stay just might find you soon participating in the next ladder below the one you started in. As I stated in prior posts keep the medals they were earned as well as the tokens, but the tokens should stay in the venue they were earned in and not migrate to a new PvP context.  Thanks all for your indulgence any further posts in this thread will solely be on the Composing Update which I feel is an outstanding update.

In your opinion?

I know one thing, I spent a lot of stam and pots 'fighting' for my dominance medal and tokens.

Maybe opting in will prove to you its not just a watching game - in certain ladder bands.

Not to belabor a point but in looking at your ladder band it consists of 5 Evil Dead players sitting there doing nothing but collecting tokens, should you opt in I believe you would not find yourself in a PvP environment but in a Player vs Guild, one where you are everybody's sole target. This is not pointing fingers at that guild it's just a fact that the token rewards are just not worth participating in the ladder once you've obtained the Dominance and Smasher medals you are content with and you have constructed the token sets you want. I like my Dominance and Smasher medals and would like to keep them, however the tokens that I have should remain in the context they were earned and not transferred to the whatever new PvP system is instituted.

Luis, read your post with interest and I just have one question for you and it is not in relation to your medal, you state that you want your "earned" tokens to retain their value, and the question is: exactly what value do they have right now? If they in fact have little value relative to what they once were then they are like any other FS asset that at one time had substantial value but over time became obsolete. The fact that you chose to stay on the ladder acquiring tokens that had little value was your choice.  Keep your tokens but they should be used in the context that they were earned and not transferred into a new PvP context.

This hasn't been decided but it's something we're highly aware of, and we will make every effort to find a good solution to when the new PvP system arrives.

Thank you for that. Should probably have an open discussion with the community about what they feel about it. Imo ladder tokens should be scrapped considering its a joke how they have been achieved, but dominance medal should be kept and made possible to progress further in the new pvp system.

Please add a "Create All" button. This should only appear when you can cook 2 or more potions simultaneously.

This is because the current layout has multiple "Template" dropdown boxes + "Create Potion" buttons. When you select the templates on each line then click one "Create Potion" button, the page refreshes and you have to do the selection of templates all over again for each simultaneous potion you can create.

Better add a single "Create All" button alongside the "Collect All" / "Discard All" / "Instant Finish All" buttons.

can you please decrease the number of Legendary and Crystalline or at least revert them back before this update, I will run out very fast of Legendary and Crystalline frags and then have to wait for an event to stock up + spend lots of FSPs to buy them

Nope. The increase was minimal. The idea is this will allow us to run the LE and Chomper events loads more as there will be demand for them again. Plus, there will be more incentive to get the Ruby Chests in the Global Events.

The midnight reset is a bummer. Don't like it at all. Hampers people in different parts of the world composing. Makes deposits difficult for them as well. Also makes hunting difficult to time if they can not make deposits again soon enough to feel safe doing so.

Guildmate sent me a composed pot and now my pack has disappeared.  No slots, no potion, no other items, nothing.  Also no count for pack, just shows /193)

How about a choice between one potion for PvP and one for leveling? Each potion contains 4 buffs. Duration of 120 minutes.

PvP: AD, LD, SB, & SH all lvl 300

Leveling: AM, AL, Lib, and CON all lvl 450

My cent and a half!  :)

#904912 Forthcoming Composing Update.

Actually, no. Hoofmaster and Radneto are with me on this. You get to the end cap of Eldevin or any other MMORPG, you do not get credit to future content. Same thing is happening here. It is not unfair, it's how we want it to work. We don't want to add a brand new section to Composing only to have some players boost straight to sixty. It invalidates the new cap.

As for "punishing" players, it's not punishment. It's exactly the opposite! With this update, you will get access to ALL the buffs plugged in from level 22 to 50! Instant new options that few others will have as well as being the first to be able to access the brand new buffs.

As BigGrim mentioned, the composing level is capped currently (unlike the player level) and hence no xp is earned above the cap. Once the cap increases in the next update, it will be possible to gain composing xp again if you are already at Composing Level 50.

Pay no attention and get Hoof's attention. That's who you need to convince. You should not be punished for hitting the cap which is what is effectively happening.
