I'm going to change it to 'Join X arenas' - I agree that makes more sense for the Daily Quests.

 

Also I've changed some of the current stamina and gold rewards - note you won't see the changes until the next quests are generated however. Please keep the feedback coming :)

I hope you fix my CDO hoof. +7 max stam as a reward is great, but my "fix" would be better if it were 5 or 10. Odd numbers scare me!  :o   :D

I've been wondering about something.

 

If said potions are capped, and those that PvP carried on with it, what would that cap do to my potions if I were to get hit during a hunt?

 

Would my potions drop to the level of caped potions for that hit time?

 

That might have an adverse spin on my hunt and I could die, losing all the cannon fodder imps and my life too.

 

Not cool to me.

Greetings all,

 

The main thing in this release is the new inventory manager. I've tried to maintain previous functionality while also making it more responsive. All the actions have been moved to the right hand columns of the grid. Huge thanks to stimpysam for beta testing this release and giving us the benefit of her web design skills, it would have been a lot more ugly without her :)

There is some new preferences. You can now disable moving the composing buttons so they will stay at the bottom of the screen if you prefer it that way. Also you can disable the debuff prompts on the profile screen so we can debuff without reloading the page.

I've made a start on moving the world code over to the new map so you have creature colouring, some of the quicklinks that I think are still useful. I've added the minimum level to the realm name and there is also a preference to remove the create group button from special creatures.

There is a new trade screen that supports composed pots properly.

I've made the left hand menu remember when you collapse sections. I think this is useful on small screens. I hated having to go to news or world in order to get the menu to collapse. On a similar vein I've made the links at the top (statbar) proper links so you can right click and open in new tab things like profile, backpack and bank. That meant that we didn't need those quicklinks in the world any more and I think you'll find them handy in general.

I've had a first pass at fixing the arena pick moves screen. It's not perfect but at least it works and now has all the moves with their full names.

In composing when you add a skill I've defaulted the input to the max skill level.

There's a subtle one that I want to talk about. You know when you're browsing arenas or using the UFSG and you click "back" and it says something about the page being expired? It drives me absolutely nuts so I've fixed that too. In theory you should be able to use back/forward to your heart's content. If you spot that happening anywhere else just let me know. I can only really test for things that I do, I know there are areas of the game which I don't spend much/any time on.

Please consider it to implement daily quests before the other idea! We need the new players (and more seasoned players) to keep logging in every day.

 

We could do Daily Quests first if you think that would be better? A lot of the work would be used in both Daily Quests and Daily Events, but it would actually be easier / faster to get Daily Quests working I think. What does everyone else think?

 

(I'd also like to add medals for Daily Quests too) :)

Would it be possible to have a preference setting for ignore list to apply to global chat? I'd like to have the ability to have a genuine "global" chat and I think a few people may have a massive list of ignored players they might be fine with interacting with.

 

I know of a few people who had each other on ignore, or one of them had the other on ignore that got to know each other a bit via global chat and are on good terms. I'd like to have the option of that if possible.

Hi everyone.

 

I'm going to drop in here and say that I am Egami's friend.

 

We never agree about PvP.

 

Here is my main problem with it in FS.

 

The bounty board as it exists is a classic gaming example of regulatory capture.

 

The people it was supposed to punish took control of the regulatory mechanism.

 

Google regulatory capture and you will catch my point.

 

After that, every defence of the status quo by the PvP community to keep the BB as it is, is simply an expression of their desire to retain control of their instrument.

 

I don't blame them.

 

As I post there is zero activity on the board.

 

That is simply what they want.

 

They want to hit with impunity, and for any retaliation to be crushed. This has been achieved. 

 

The odd merc, or crusader, or whatever they choose to name it gets blown away.  And their dominance of the BB remains.

 

At this dog end of the game I no longer care what they get out of it. In the past I did.

Before I start, if this thread is in the wrong sub forum or it's already been talked about elsewhere I apologise.

 

So I'm writing this thread today, after wanting to for some time, to bring to your attention a problem within FS, and that is "Unresolved Combat". This topic is mainly GvG based, as in every other aspect of PvP, an "Unresolved Combat" doesn't really affect anything.

 

For example, in a normal PvP attack, you only lose 10-100 stamina, depending on how much you like someone, (100 stamming means you like someone a lot  :D), and maybe a little bit of durability in your gear, which may cost 2-3k to fix. BUT, you don't lose any experience, which is good.

 

Same goes for the ladder. You lose stamina, but no experience OR PvP rating, so nothing vital is affected.

 

The Bounty Board is a little bit different. Again you only lose stamina, but an "Unresolved Combat" can lead you to not being the first person to get all 10 successful attacks completed, but the way the Bounty Board is nowadays you'll only usually be missing out on 1FSP at the most.

 

Now onto the annoying part, GvG conflicts. Now I know the attacker should be 100% sure they can win the fight, although sometimes the 2% rule can come round and bite you on the ass somewhat. You should always be aware of the buffs that are on the players you are targeting. But let's say for example the guild attacking you has 50/50 hits completed with no misses, and you get one "Unresolved Combat", you lose the conflict 50-49. Personally I don't feel this is entirely fair, as an "Unresolved Combat" is technically a draw, no one loses, no one wins, so why does it count as a failed attack?

 

This is just how I feel, I know there will be a handful of players outs there who thinks it's a good idea, but from responses I've received a lot of people feel the same way about this as I do.

 

Let's here some thoughts and see if we can get this changed!  :)

I am thinking maybe we could add to the guild view a tally list of guilds that have attacked for the week deal. The reason I suggest this not as a win button or such but a way to check on last guild attacked. When timer goes in gvging wins and loss information goes on guild log and once guild log is refreshed it is lost. I think a guild checklist for all to look and see wins loss ties would be cool for team mates to look at.  

 

Mind you this is not must update but a way to show all players in a guild to see what happened when they were not on to witness why their gear gets damaged.  

 

I am suggesting this from my gvging experience when my gear gets damaged and the guild log gets refreshed I have no idea if my guild won or not when whole conflict aspect completes. I think this would be good way to help new players understand how gear gets damaged while off and perhaps might add more participation.  If this was suggested earlier in this thread I do apologize since I did not go back to the beginning of the thread to read all comments.
