Who told you this? It's just an educated guess... There is a tremendous amount more of these even for just 1 extra week.

BG did. I woke up in the wee hours of the morning hoping for another shot at a seasonal. Several hours and no spawn and I lamented in world chat. BG said somethings to the effect of it being out for an extra week so stop complaining. ;)

To answer your original question, the spawn rate wasn't changed but the event duration was. Typically they are out for 2 weeks but this last event had them out and about for 3 weeks.

Try comparing older seasonal epics vs newer seasonal epics ?

 

(and then factor in that there was a slew of the older seasonal epics last xmas which reduced their "attractiveness" this past xmas)

 

Newer titans, esp. seasonal ones, get hunted to the point of extinction - and TD / TP have greatly assisted in that.

 

Where you and other titan hunters differ from, it seems, most other people is that you seem to want to close the stable door LONG AFTER the horse has bolted and you've made your profits?

 

I'm sure you and other titan guilds were killing them as rapidly as your cooldowns would allow, despite a possible increased spawn rate ?

I think the point being made here is that you and plenty of others have already got them - and sold copious others - and now want to make them feed into the game at a slower rate to, presumably, increase their value and increase your profits again.

 

The high-end seasonal epics already command a premium price/return for the amount of stamina expended on them - they're just fine as they are.

Beyond that, in my "evil" way, I'd hope that everybody invokes the same strategy and donates and then saves for the seasonals. 

 

See, then HCS would get big bucks in the next 70 hours on the offer... only to find that instead of the so-called PTW... they'd be paying to compete normally, lmao.

 

EDIT: Thought maybe I needed to make it clearer. This is, for me, the perfect example of why the whole PTW is a fallacy. In this example, it's a lot clearer since those that pay might actually be up against others that do as well. In fact, the option of buying this pot would be a big "W" for the entire FS community but might end up being not such a "win button".

 

All the other discussions on the issue are a lot more debatable. But the reality is that people are thinking that people putting money into the game in order to do "X" is unfair. 

 

I have a hard time believing that. Of course, I would hope that those that believe it would drop even more money into the game to get whatever it is they want. 

 

In my case, I simply can't lose by people paying to be better than me.

I get the feeling that people tend to forget that a game that is free for everyone still has costs.

 

I'm all for people paying for a crazy advantage. Every FS player benefits from that.

 

I kind of think getting you out of the way for 7 days is better EP, lol.

 

In any case, I'm sure people will come back with the PTW button. 

 

The problem is that it's simply a weak argument based on personal opinion. In my eye, the PTW is great because that "W" really means we all do. 

 

If that so called "win button" brings more money into the game, then I'm simply all for it. FS only exists because they turn a profit based on donations and the voluntary advertising.

 

When players think it's weird that people they "claim" have money, I kind of wonder how they would improve that without changing the world. 

 

I've brought up the starving children in X country many a times. You have internet and you have free access to this game. I'm sorry if donating is expensive to you. But just as it's expensive to you to donate, it's "expensive" to HCS to pay for labor to keep the game "respectable", whatever that means. 

 

In short, I seriously doubt that a Mercedes, BMW, Ferrari or whatever in your country has the price discounted simply because you don't have earning power to buy it. 

 

And advertisers, with respect to the shards, are the ones who decide where to do that. I'm sorry they don't care about your country. That has zero to do with HCS and while you are busy complaining about the advertisers, you need to realize that it's also a source of income for HCS that allows you to continue to play for free.

 

And I do believe that money can "help" you to achieve your goals in this game. It's not a question of being "fair", it's a question of you realizing that. On an equal level, one who has money has advantages. That's simply life in its current form.

I have a better idea. Why not enable zero cooldown Teleport usage on all maps where titans are active? This way, everyone can benefit and play on a level-playing field while at the same time killing whatever form of titan-related movement cheats are out there.

Lets not forget Coccinella, the original FSH developer.

Coccinella and myself created the FSH.  After that we brought in others that were interested in helping this project grow.  Granted Coccinella did most of the coding, but i assisted with code and many ideas that brought this helper to life.  I would love it if the HCS team took the code and implemented it directly into the game, and made the helper unnecessary, this helper was created to help the game from a players standpoint, make it easier for the player to do tasks that would normally take a bunch of clicks to do.

 

We have worked closely with HCS over the years in removing code that would violate their TOS and bouncing ideas off their developers, I have since retired playing this game, but i'm very happy my baby still lives on!

Thank you very much for the awesome new LEs!! I have one small request, or generic feedback however; I always love new stuff, but if you look at all the new sets that were just put out by these 4 new LEs, their drops only take up 4 out of 9 possible slots... All four either drop a helm, ring, armor, or gloves. 

 

Why are we not seeing some more "interesting" combinations of sets? I'm tired of seeing the same ring/armor and the severely overdone Helm/Gloves combinations. Let's branch out and do something unexpected...  Shield/Ring, Amulet/Boots, Rune/Gloves, Rune/Weapon combos...  I think this would really give a lot more variety for setups instead of just replacing sets with slightly more powerful sets in the same item slots. 

 

Just my two cents... but I do appreciate you guys putting out new creatures, even if they didnt drop anything!  =)

Relic taking rights sounds good and makes sense. IMO a relic could be "relinquished" after a certain period of time if there was no one on it to defend? Say, 2 hours. Just thinking/ typing out loud.

 

I think if you swap out 'could' for 'should' then you have a winner here.

 

Guilds should maintain a presence on relics in order to keep control of them, with relics returning to an unowned state if undefended for a period of time.

 

That way relinquishing relics would be as simple as just abandoning them, while also making guilds expend a little manpower to control a relic.

How is guild size determined?  Available slots, active members?  We have several retired members that were integrale in the formation and / or  rebuilding of the guild.  As a sign of appreciation for their loyalty to the guild,  they haven't, by choice of course, been  kicked from the guild.  Others use the game as a means to pop into the game every few months to catch up on one another's lives.  A few of those were shocked that they were still in the guild and are playing the game again because they were still in the guild.  They would otherwise have lost total interest and never returned again (some have a tough time meeting new people and want to be around those that they have already formed a bond, Marios and ownageking being 2 of them).  And then there are a few that are simply held onto as mules.  If the retired people are excluded from counting as members, others may try to abuse the exclusion and rerank their mules. 

 

And as to size, a guild w/ fewer members that are scattered across the globe can't coordinate simultaneous actions such as titans and GvG's.  And if rewards that add to their abillities to beat on other guilds, or in PvP, making it easier to defeat those that can't already defend themselves due to overly powerful gear and buffs / potions for the GvG'ers / PvP'ers, you take the chance of disenchanting those that are already at a disadvantage.  They too spend money on the game for epics and Max Stam, Stam Gain, etc.  Should Mary's suggestions be implemented, please keep possible negetive results in mind.
