 I don't  feel like quoting anybody, but  everybody with not guild locked nutcracker ring and vine gauntlets on. That means  most part, we spent a fortune on those items. The current vine gauntlets would then kind of flood the market making RP worth even less! The nutcracker ring seasonal wouldnt be so special any more. SHIELD is the way to GO.

 

1 last thought please dont make it require  PVP tokens for invention. I am sure your well aware that most players dont partake in PVP.

I can sound stupid with this argument, but can you guys make impossible to use Omacaz with that new Epic Recipe?

Don't know if everybody will be happy with this, but sure I'll.

Not sure it is that relevant for hunting as was stated earlier but I think I speak for most when the only stats that are of concern is the additional stamina added and the stamina gain amount, you could make the other states all HP and no one would mind mate ;)

I soley earned my first TKP item. 

 

I was in a solo guild and wanted to earn my own Epic. I settled on Kantec at the time as that seemed to have spawned when i made that decision. Anyways best part of 8000 Kills later i made it. 

 

Its a lot harder to earn anything with only 3.5k Stam and no troop of fellow titan hunters to help secure. 

 

Anyways nothing much to big guilds but quite a bit to me. Anyways just wanted to share :)

a dictactor saying why voting, if the cotes comes 50,1% to 49,9% in favor of ...... !!!

it does not matter, there still needs to be a vote, it is the peoples right !!

in fallen sword it is the players right !!

a great many players also quit the game because of PvP being taken to absurd lengths , some players were losing 40,50, 60 levels and more, and no it is not like it used to be but  a lot of that also has to do with the number of players in the game ,  414 players on ATM , used to be well over 1000  at this time , ,  also in my opinion PvP should be one on one , not guilds ganging up on  two or three players , , I quit PvP around level 500,  just got tired of it ,  ;)  so I choose not to  participate in PvP anymore, , Wee

Raw hits soft.. soft retaliates and hits raw back.. now soft is at a risk loss of however many levels on the raw bb? This doesn't encourage one on one PvP. It just encourages placing bounties on one another and baiting soft players to take part in raw PvP.. Unless there was a revenge bounty free attack between players, then this baiting tactic will do a lot of harm. Harm that this PvP discussion is all about.

This separation of PvP doesnt look like it'll promote more PvP activity than just taking out XP loss all together.. Seems like it'll be messy and more of a hassle than just making one PvP system that excludes XP loss.

this system is not confusing

 

let me summarize it for you:

 

raw hits raw => raw BB

raw hits soft => soft BB

soft hits soft => soft BB

soft hits raw => raw BB

 

you always get posted on the VICTIMS bounty board (to counter EXPLOIT)

it's very simple :)  took me a few seconds to post this very short and simple summarization :)

 

is that good for you? if you have any more questions then please ask :)

 

This was exactly the point of my original post with your bounty system this is very 1 sided towards the "Raw" player...

 

If they hit a "soft" player they are put on the "soft" board and ultimately lose nothing of value of them because they will not have a PVP xp...so they can sit there and farm on all the people who opted into the soft pvp and lose nothing and if the people who are in the soft pvp want to hit back they then get posted and lose exactly what they were trying to avoid...XP

 

So once again I say your bounty system makes no sense, not because I do not understand it because its not practical or reasonable..

Oh I think you're misunderstanding my response there mary. I was simply responding to your examples.

 

While it is indeed true that the removal of xp-loss has finally come about due to the amount of bullying it enables...

 

You have to also understand that there is an overwhelming amount of people that play FS and value their earned xp. Now even when players do not go to sociopathic levels of bullying, attacks on other players still have an (unexplainable) negative effect on another players 'playtime'. Attacking someone repeatedly (without incurring the wrath of a ticket) can be just as damaging as when the players go to far. Now you take away that damaging aspect and you're left with a bully with a severely less sharp stick.

Can they still cause harm? Sure...

Is the harm more palatable for the victim? It certainly is, by a long mark...

(this in and of itself will reduce the bullying, once they realise that they're attacks aren't having the negative effects that they crave)

 

HCS (Grim) has also acknowledged that it (xp loss) is also by far the greatest source of animosity between pvp players and non pvp players. At the same time being the biggest deterrent to prospective participants. Interestingly however, there were many reports from players who had never been interested in pvp in the slightest taking an interest in an idea of pvp without xp loss.

 

Leaving xp loss within the game mechanics would also require work. As it stands, the people that get warned (the bullies) already complain that their activities are currently within the rules, and therefore protest at not being able to ruin another players gameplay. For xp loss to remain, a new set of rules governing how players interact with each other would still have to be established.

Might as well do the whole overhaul and make the system more appealing while they're at it.
