About the only thing that even sounds relevant to anything here is the bounty board items...unless you plan to introduce a new script that allows you to make the determination of intent of the hunter then its not plausible to change the boards at all.

 

Ladder hits not being bountyable, sounds fine though now the scared potato doesnt need to worry about being mashed.

 

Titans, blah blah, who really cares...Most of us don't use scripts and therefore can't keep up with the donating offenders so we don't bother with that aspect.

I do not follow you.

 

You seem to be conflating donators with scripters. If I donate I must therefore also script? If I donate enough do I get access to a scripting drop down menu I can use?

 

If anything I would say scripters are taking advantage of donators by obtaining high value items and then selling them to people who buy the items with FSP gained via donation.

 

I have noticed, and do not like, a general sneering at donators on the forum. What gives? How does that do anything other than split the community further?

 

I think HCS have finally seen that there is a systemic issue with titan hunting, and are addressing it. I hope successfully.

I like all sugestions. Including bounty hits not being bounty-able. Its not the perfect solution, but its far better than the current system.

 

Best would be if bounty-hits was not stackable- just like in the old days. But your sugested change is a huge improvement to the current system.

Methinks separate threads for the three issues would be good.

 

1) Most folk think the move to make titan scripting harder is good - I'd love to see that and know it was a level playing field.

 

2) The ladder hits seem to have a majority of support but for a few folk who like to have more opportunities to hit folk they/their guild don't like. Just hit these people you don't like then. But of course the point is to get them onto the usually dead BB (current activity - ZERO) so they can be dropped 5. And bounties are currently abused on the ladder. Removing that abuse may make the ladder more interesting. And cause more people to give it a try. The problem of one guild having a bunch of people in one level range and co-operating... that seems to me to be playing the game - sucks to be in that level band, but what is the alternative? Banning more than one guildie from being in any one level band? How would that promote activity?

 

3) I will say that again - current activity as I type on the BB - ZERO. As it is it is terribly broken. No bountying the bounty hunter - a radical proposition. It is going to make activity even less than zero on the board? Hard to achieve. The bountying the bounty hunter thing is complex and should probably have its own thread. I liked myakka's post above - maybe we need to define terms... except I know from previous threads that it has been exactly that sort of thing that has been argued endlessly over in the past.

 

Anyone arguing that this will hurt smasher/bounty hunter medals - where were you when the guild medals came out? If you didn't care how they were being earned/exploited - why care about any possible smasher abuse now. I made this point AT LENGTH (warning) here:

Post 158 for those who want to make their eyes bleed. I go on at further epic length on page 9. Twice. If you had no inclination to do the right thing over those medals then I think the right to use medals to defend a change here to bountying the bounty hunter is out the window. If consistency on matters means anything anyway...

Hi there Everyone.
 
A few things this evening.
 
First, we have made a new update to the code for Titan Hunting. This activates in a Realm where a Titan is spawned and will allow us to better track and stop scripting.
 
Second, we are looking to update the Bounty Board sometime next week with the following : PvP Ladder hits will no longer be bounty-able and Bounties will no longer expire.
 
Furthermore, we are thinking that anyone who takes a bounty cannot be bountied for taking it. This would mean being a Bounty Hunter would no longer be more damaging to the Hunter, making it a viable part of the game again. However, we would like constructive feedback regarding this.

true crip, quite a possibilty in some cases ... many of those pots(everyone not still just talking to crip) kill other game pots, the stalker 250 was just put in chest(albeit its not way powerful but u wanna kill it already), the distil would kill Zom Brew's(even if you think it wont) and the reckoning pot in the caves will be crushed, just off the top of my head, we just killed many pots AND buffs with composing, do we really wanna hand out more death from loyalty, i can see some of you dont mind or cant see the actual effect it can have(at least to a reasonable degree), but the game is semi-functional atm, totally agree more is needed in loyalty but rationalize puh-leeeaz :)

maybe ask about some of the buffs that havent been implemented i see serveral on grants buff filter on the AH might ask for a sneak peak and see if any are useful maybe used at a lower level? just a thought

Try Auto-Discard: Blank. and Frag (Common and Unique), and keep (Rare). 

 

That should frag all the items you could pick up, but keep all the blooms you pick up if you are farming the Blood Golem.

The +5, +10, +15, +25, and +50 are minimum total stat points up to your current hell forge level.

 

If you were not so blinded by your frustration, you would have seen this answer to be sufficient to explain your OP, upon a very small amount of investigation.

 

that answers nothing...why is the first, second and third hell forge levels giving me the same gain...2nd and 3rd levels should give more stat bonuses than 1st level....i have hell forge a lot...each level used to give more stat bonuses for each level, not the same bonuses..someone from cows please explain why each level is the same bonus

 

It has always been that the first three give the same, and that the 4th and 5th give considerably more effect.

 

The numbers given on the hellforge page are the total effect of upgrading to that level. So it is saying that two hell forges gives +10 minimum and not that the second hell forge gives +10 minimum

 

Also, the numbers are total stat points, to be divided amongst the stats. So your 1st hell forge gave you +8 (2 x +4), and your second gave another +8, making a total of +16 for two forges. You would get another +8 for the 3rd, presumably about +16 and then +40 for the 4th and 5th (giving a total of 80 = 2 x 40 for the full forging)

 

This poster was gracious enough to spell it out like a 1st grader for you.  No need to be rude to others trying to help your original request, that, might I remind you, was a product of your own oversight.

I've been playing for 4 yrs. now and ( maybe) counting and see a lot of new innovations being implemented along the  course of this game and for me that's a positive indication that BG and Company and HCS in general are doing thier share to make this game enjoyable and exciting and of course to the FS community who shared thier individual ideas to make this game as it is right now. Bottom line is, when there's something NEW, thrill and excitement follows !!!

Next we're working on improving guild chat and we're also going to be working on making new players exempt from Guild Conflicts as we feel this should be a higher priority than it currently is on the list.

excellent update..2 thumbs up...really like new frag preference page, really like the new questbook....but really like hearing that gvg farming of newbies is soon going to finally come to an end...hoooray...big hip hip hooray...small issue of bar for questbook not working ..says 0 completed quests..i am sure minor thing that will be fixed....keep up the great work

Yes, let's get rid of announcing the new manipulated medals - they don't really show much of an accomplishment and a huge snooze.  I'd rather see SE, Bounty, PvP Arena medals - stuff of that nature.

Certainly does make sense. I've received a message in the past that "this would be the last time" I received a quest replacement item. So I stopped doing them... Anyone else receive this type of warning?

Personally, I think this would only make things worse.

 

The way it is now is there are multiple physical servers all working together to give you the one FS site where everyone can play together (check the last 2 digits on your IP to see which server you are on).  For HCS to "add a new server", as you put it, would require them to purchase a whole new bank of physical servers to handle this new load or burden the existing servers by splitting them up across the 2 sites.

 

Also, if you start up a new site, a portion of the current community will just move over to the new site completely and abandon their current profile in an attempt to reach the top while another portion will completely ignore the new site and stick with the tried and true. (Of course there will be some that play on both.)  This would only divide the community further which I feel is very bad.

 

One other problem is if you consider it from a new user standpoint.  "What server should I join?" "Why are there multiple sites?" "My friend told me he/she plays this game but which server are they on?" "If I join this server now, how long before they create a new server and all my progress becomes pointless because everyone moved to the newer server?" - Multiple questions like that would add unnecessary confusion and only server to harm the game in the long run.

 

I have played games where they add new servers every week or two.  I really don't think that format would lend itself well to the overall Fallen Sword community.
