Wow. One of the worst analogies ever.
I just want to know why 14 days of waiting to gvg a noob is a non starter? You believe in throwing people into the deep end of the pool from the get go ( so we should get rid of noob pvp protection too?). Is that the only reason? Wow. I really would like to understand the passionate reasoning for farming noobs. This game has so many dimensions. Give them a chance to start out unharassed. As someone else suggested, the can join a gvg and break their protection if they want to get an early start.

personally i feel the reason people farm noobs is bcz the people farming them ... multis i would say know they are easy prey to get they dont have to worry about retaliation bcz they dont understand the game etc. who here understood the game when they were below level 100 and how buffs worked what gear to wear in the beginning stges of the game guilds usually take care of there members they give them gear but they really dont completely understand

Guild medals,,, isnt achievements for guilds and medals for players???

 
Yeah - these are player medals that are awarded for doing stuff within a guild though :)
 

 

Theres a lot of cool things proposed but all seem to be non retroactive,,,why??? When RP and loyalty tokens came out it was retroed back so everyone who had done so much before and those who asked for things long before the additions deserve it as much as those who start tomorrow,, on the gvg part you say there are a lot of things put in to discourage multis but this is a very big upgrade that encourages them.

 

If we have the data to make them retroactive we will - for Composing however, we don't track the total number of potions you have created, but this is something we'll add when we create a medal for it.

 

then theres a couple things that are contradictory,,, a general vibe here is players who earned a ranking but go inactive still longer deserve that ranking but players who earned a place in a guild can go inactive and be storage thats protected from gvg??? And now we are considering protecting new players from both pvp and gvg??? Isnt it a pvp game still?? When will they learn? Ir will it simply be debate over raising the cap till nobody can hit anyone till level 1000??

 

It's not to much to 'protect' them from GvG, but I think it may be quite discouraging when you are new to the game, join a guild then get a load of GvG attacks in your log. I'm thinking just for 'x' days after joining the game you can't be attacked or participate in GvG.

 

 

DO you get so many tickets a week of someone who clicked the wrong thing and in some cases confirmed that and want their FSP protected in a bank???

 

Not really, but it was suggested and liked on the previous thread. :)

Okay, looking at what we have planned, I've shuffled what we'll be doing around a bit and have a few new ideas to share.

Springtime Forest : Estimated release = Week of the 13th of April.

A new Global event added to this. Easter Baskets to be collected and evil Shadow Bunnies stealing them. Grab the eggs and duff up the Shadow Bunnies to save the chocolatey potion goodness at the end of the event. We may add one or two new LEs to the Forest event itself but we'll see. No promises.



Content. 2501 - 2525 : Estimated release = Week of the 19th of June.


Content. 2526 - 2550 : Estimated release = Week of the 3rd of July. 


Content. 2551 - 2575 : Estimated release = Week of the 17th of July.


And I'll be looking to plug Storybook in here somewhere. Quite a lot of work still to be done to this. At present, 7 new Quests though I may have to add an 8th to keep us closer to EoC.


As well as this, the usual LEs in the Scavenging Caves, Classics in the Realms and somewhere after the new Skill releases, we intend on looking at a brand new Legendary Event with full new gear.


Finally, these dates could and likely will shift around a little as we work on other secret squirrel parts of Sword.

We've been working on Storybook. I'd like to see this out again soon. As it stands, I have 7 new "The Story of ..." quests lined up, taking us to about EoC.

Two new Christmas Quests, again taking us to EoC.
 
The return of the Dragon LE events with three new Dragons and an Egg potion on each Dragon instead of just one. Expect the potions to be unusual buffs, trying to keep them to the theme of the Dragon where possible.
 
Between 2 and 4 brand new Seasonal Titans for Christmas.  Thread for ideas can be found HERE!
 
Chests.
 
We are working on about a dozen new Potions which we are looking to add to the existing chest that spawn in the world. We are also looking to add the proposed Frag Stash items to this as well as possibly adding new item sets. Once again, no cast iron time frame but once this is on it's way, I'll update this thread. Released.

We've compiled a list of suggestions that we're planning to implement in the game based on the previous 'Next Roadmap' thread, however we would like the community to determine the order they are implemented in.
 
Note a few of the suggestions have asterisks which mean they also require work from the content team and hence we may need to move them around a little after the poll to make sure they fit with content releases and other planned events smile.png
 
Here are details of all the suggestions along with an estimated time they will take to implement. We'll leave the poll open for a week, then put together a roadmap with estimated implementation dates based on the order the community would like to see the ideas implemented.
 
New Guild-based Medals
Add the new player medals to the game for buffing guild members, joining groups, donating gold, defending relics etc.

This would be mainly new exclusive resources/compoents which would be used to create new sets.

HIDE GOLD >> During your hunt, this is the best way to hide gold.

1. Determine your gold earned per hunt = [MAX EARNED]

2. Post an unwanted item in AH: hour = 48, minimum = 1 gold, maximum = [MAX EARNED]+1

3. Send your gold to a friend or guild member in increment of 25k, 50k, 100k, 200k, .. or 500k

4. Have that person bids on the item until equal to [MAX EARNED]

5. When you are ready to get gold, have the person end with BUY NOW.

 

If no one is online, you can bid on the Potion of Truth, Lesser Distil, and/or Potion of Fatality.

Hi All,

 

I hope this guide will help new and old players to remain interested in FS.

The following scenarios are just my observation.

 

Scenario #1:

PlayerN joined FS with their friends and they decided to have a levelling contest for fun. PlayerN got a lot of buffs during hunting but he/she doesn't gain a lot of XP like other players. So when he/she got behind, he/she stopped trying. PlayerN thought, "My friends are in a better guild. They have better gears and high level buffs. I can't compete with them."

 

My thought #1:

It's not true that a player in a higher level guild gets more XP or better than you. Better gears and higher level buffs at the beginning disable the player in the long run. Those are the truth and I'm not crazy to say that. So consider yourself lucky to be in a smaller guild or guildless because you will have to work harder to learn more. I'm one of the lucky ones because I gained most of my FS knowledge on my own and shared them with everyone I crossed path with. Bushido guild is the 2nd guild. I formed it with my friends on FS when we were level 225. The bottomline ... spend a little time to learn the game properly and you will enjoy it more.

 

Scenario #2:

Players have to invest a lot of real money in order to have a solid character. Since they don't have money, they quit.

 

My thought #2:

Not true. Remember, this is a free game. Having a lot of fsp is not equal to a solid character. Earning fsp on your own so when you spend it, you have to think twice to know for sure what you are doing. You can earn fsp by saving up gold during hunting and trade it in the Market Place. Watch videos to earn FSP.  I know a lot of players with 10,000+ fsp without spending real money. You can do it too.

 

 

Here are my basic guides to help you get started during your hunt:

 

Use shortcut:  1234r ... it will kill 4 creatures and repair your gears

 

For players level 1 - 185, you only need these buffs:

Adept Learner 175, Librarian 175, Treasure Hunter 175, Merchant 175, Animal Magnetism 175, Conserve 175, Unbreakable 175, Doubler 150

 

 

HUNTING ORDER >> Here's a trick to maximize your hunting with potions:
1. Get gears
2. Get BM buff (your potions last longer and GIRLS love that)
3. Drink Distil potion (increase potion LV)
4. Drink remaining potions (watch LV increase)
5. Get remaining buffs
6. Active PvP Prestige via "Actions>Attack Player" (increase XP gain)
7. Hunt

 

 

For players level 186-399, you will need buffs and potions to continue to 1 hit:

 

1 HIT Potions >>
DSTL50 (Lesser Distil) = 10,000+
BK300 (Berserkers Potions) = 2,400+
DC200 (Sludge Brew) = 10,000+
LB200 (Potions of the Wise) = 25,000+
DB500 (Acceleration) = 35,000+
DB750 (Greater Doubler) = 35,000+

 

1 HIT Buffs >>  Brewing Master, Adept Learner, Treasure Hunter, Merchant, Animal Magnetism, Conserve, Unbreakable, Keen Edge, Fury, Enchanted Armor, Enchant Weapon, Force Shield, Summon Shield Imp, Death Dealer, Wither, Spectral Knight, Light Foot, Mesmerize

 

If your gears have multiple sets, then get Smashing Hammer.

If all your gears are part of sets, then get Coordinate Attack.

For more XP, get Overkill and Stalker

 

 

For players level 400+, you will need buffs and potions to continue to 1 hit:

1 HIT POTIONS >>
DSTL50 (Lesser Distil) = 10,000+
BK350 (Potion of Fury) = 50,000+
DC225 (Potion of Black Death) = 35,000+
LB225 (Potions of Bookworm) = 50,000+
EW1000 (Potion of Truth) = 2,400+

I don't agree with the previous guys 80% inactive, but, on the same token, I don't think I'd agree with your definition either.

 

There's a LOT of guilds holding LONG-TERM inactive players as mules and because of their contributed XP - maybe if a guild has more than 40%-50% inactives then it should no longer show ?

 

Hoof could just add a 3rd listing to the guild top 250 ? - Already we have listings by "ACTUAL GUILD XP" and "LOCKED GUILD XP" - maybe add "%age ACTIVE" or some other wording.

 

The top guild listings, whilst historically accurate, don't necessarily reflect a true picture of the top guilds in all cases...

 

Actually, I think there are a lot of guilds holding long-term inactives because of their backpacks.

 

If the issue is inactive GXP, then just calculate the GXP for all guilds on the basis of active players only. I'd be perfectly happy with that. Or modify it to include a decaying fraction of inactives. But don't make guilds invisible based on their desire to make long-term friends welcome should they revisit the game.

if are more cretures on the same  map  can we chose what we can kill and not......maybe stats are different from creature to another  and my set up cant kill both

 

People keep on coming up with great ideas that I have forgotten were only part of FSH. The "do not kill" function is a must

 

I read the comment about just choosing which keys to press, but (i) in some realms the two different creatures have VERY similar names, (ii) the creature lists still keep rearranging randomly, and (iii) the network latency not infrequently means the creature you think you are attacking is not the one you actually attacked. So this sort of safeguard is valuable

This is in FSH, so I didn't think to add it, but yes, this is another important FSH feature to port.

 

Also, the quick delete, so one can delete excess resources without reloading the page after each delete

In-realm teleport

The teleport buff, at some moderate stamina cost, is cast on you.  Now, when you click on a square, you are instantly transported there for 10-15 stamina.  This could be set up to work, or not work, on titan maps.  There could be a chance of error.  The options/limitations would affect the initial cost.

 

Messing around with titan hunting sounds like a recipe for disaster. Its taken long enough to get some form of balance into that as it is (what with vastly different levels, and vastly different connection speeds). And I'd have thought it should cost more stamina to cast than it would take to walk there (so more like 30-40 stam to cover large maps), in which case there wouldn't be too many reasons for using an in-realm teleport.

I'll admit I am not an experienced PvP player, but I understand the appeal and appreciate the skill involved.  To me GvG is boring and probably doesn't satisfy as many players.  My idea presents a guild oriented PvP.  I understnad some of my ideas will be controversial but hope to get a friendly (key word) and constructive (also a key word) discussion going.  If we can figure this out it will add a new element that players will have fun with, and promote guild activity, pride and loyalty.

 

My idea basically tries to apply the PvP ladder to guilds.  Guild A sends a declaration of Guild War to Guild B.  Guild B can either accept or deny the War.  Once accepted all active members (non-purple dot) become eligible for attack.  For the purposes of the War, I would say GvG Attack Range would be appropriate.  No personal XP will be lost, but each target's XP (contributed to the guild) can be taken (and possibly even partially syphoned).  Therefore Guild XP is up for grabs.  IE this is not an XP Loss Free form of PvP

 

The war could last a designated amount of time maybe 3, 5 or 7 days.  Each successful attack could be +1 each successful defense could be +2.  Rewards to the winning guild could be automatic RP.  I think this works better than the PvP ladder itself as I don't want to limit Wars to a Guild Level Range. 

 

This will promote guild activity and guild pride.  It could provide more business for buff sellers as Guilds will look for people to buff them during a War.

 

And in the end if a guild doesn't want to participate they don't have to.

I dont think its worth HCS's time to spend time coding something that is already in FSHelper.

Personally I would like to see ALL of the FSHelper features added to the game then ban the use of the FSH

Can we make guild chat the same way as world chat? One of the things that prevents me from getting more into the game, is because it's so difficult to communicate with guildies. I like to titan hunt for example and in order to follow guild chat while I do that I keep having to go out of world screen, or at least refresh the whole page, which is really annoying. It's hard to have a conversation when everyone can only write 1 or 2 things per minute, it leads to people doing other stuff and forgetting about the chat, killing it.
