Some feedback.
I had to reduce a titan's life with 200 in return for 400 stamina.
Buffs @ lvl 175: Conserve, Reckoning, Teleport
I started with 32336 stamina.
Gained 97 during the tick.
After reward I had 32382 stamina.
That is 46 more than I started with, however I gained during the tick, so overall it was 51 stamina loss.
All moves I made was by using Teleport (to save stamina), including getting to the right map, so it took some time aswel.

Up to you wether you would find it worth your time/trouble/effort.

If you used Titan doubler, you would have 800 tkps toward a Titan. That's worth something?

1)..most posts about stam banks are about daily events not daily quests...and yes the events are to be daily...but if after a few daily events ..players see they have little chance to compete against the huge stam banks...you defeat the purpose of the whole idea.....we all want to play..but playing in a competition that is rigged for the higher stam banks is not the way to go...

 

2). how has someones elses huge stam bank helped me..besides global events..

 

3) really ????  no wonder we are losing players, and cant get players to join arena,ladder etc....telling players they dont have participate ???

 

4)  no...just want the daily events to be fair for everyone...is that hard for you to accept ?

But! We need to support both. I think GE's are a great example of how both get rewarded. Small stam bank folks get awesome rewards despite minimal participation. Big stam bank folk get bonus rewards.

 

It has been suggested that we should have 2 type of events... Obviously first priority should go to the simple daily events that give mini rewards that any player can accomplish. The 2nd type of event could be the "competitive" event that maybe goes a week or a month and has a leaderboard (for bragging purposes or medals) and possibly a small reward or no reward. Could be themed on the various activities we can play in game. Sky's the limit...

 

This shouldn't be a THIS or THAT argument. Let's go for both now that we have some developers back :)

I don't PvP, but I find it incredulous that with the right gear, and top of the range Composing potions, that you can lose against unbuffed (or "standard" buffed) players.

I just wish the cows (well, the chief Cow as in Hoof) would actually try it out - just run the numbers between an unbuffed 4 set setup, a "standard, L175" buffed, same gear setup and then the same setup again, with top-end composing potions.

If that happened, I think he'd have to agree - but, the issue is ... IF THAT HAPPENED ...

Seems Hoof only pops out of his time bubble once or twice a month to post encouraging comments and then disappears again :(

Perhaps I don't have the right gear but I have lost many levels. I have mad respect for those that defeat me without the composed pots and I make it a point to compliment them via PM. As you can imagine it's incredibly frustrating to lose despite having "OP" pots and still get schooled but somehow it still happens (and I cycle through different sets to see if the other various combos may work better. Sometimes yes. Sometimes no). Also I was impressed that the previous poster was able to do all that he said he did until getting more info from bio. Lol. I wonder why people don't clear him? Hmmm. Lol.

Why not both?

 

Perhaps have a daily non-competitive activity with a relatively minimal award - like someone else suggested, some loyalty points (of course, need to add more goodies in loyalty - the more OP, the better ;-p )

 

Perhaps a weekly (or monthly) leaderboard for various challenges? Some requiring stam, some requiring skill, some requiring dumb luck, some requiring guild, etc.

 

Unlike previous iterations where HCS's rewards are initially huge, maybe start off with no reward/tiny reward... just bragging rights as a kind of beta to see how the activity goes.

 

 

anyway, let's keep this positive folks and think about the game as a whole. not just yourselves ;-p

So further to Pardoux's point, since we can't see each players composing level, the best thing I could see was the Artisanship:

 

For the Yes's:

Diamond: 42%

Ruby: 12%

Crystal: 12%

Gold: 12%

Silver: 9%

Bronze: 9%

None: 3%

 

For the No's:

Diamond: 43%

Ruby: 13%

Crystal: 13%

Gold: 4%

Silver: 9%

Bronze: 9%

None: 9%

 

I guess the players composing level makes no difference... pretty amazing actually. almost identical.

Hoof. Not all of us feel the pots are over powered. Based on your post, you are making that statement as fact. Just the squeaky wheels in the forums feel that way. Please take the stuff posted here with a big grain of salt lick.

You realise it wouldn't be beyond the realms of possibility to create something that isn't underwhelming OR overpowered.

Useful but not massively game changing is what HCS should have aimed for. A small increase to a chance based enhancement for the level 3k skill (a pretty big milestone) is something of a let down. I think you know it though, and simply posted what you did to be 'hip'. Which is of course within your rights to do.


I'm the furthest thing from hip ;-p
They can't win though. No matter what they do, in someone's opinion, it will be OP or underwhelming. You understand better than most how we, the community, can't agree on anything. IMHO, I don't think anything is overpowered but you already knew that :)

I do find it mildly entertaining how some sit on both sides of the argument. I understand your point but it's a no win for HCS. What would you consider appropriate? And watch people tear you apart lol. Too weak! Too strong!

The way the passionate on here are posting, it seems that everyone must be getting ravaged by pvp and gvg by these evil high level composers :o

Oddly, as dav pointed out, it seems the loudest squeaky wheels have the most high level composers in the game. What gives? Genuinely curious

Our allies are the ones clearing it because you and yours are not doing the job yourself. It REQUIRES group participation to be effective. It's going to take more then a couple fsp to make the loss worth the the effort. That was also pointed out in this topic.  Again, I will ask,  How much is 5 levels worth to you? Because your recent 'activity' had a player throwing 100's of FSP at us. We waited for you and yours to hit. We wanted the bounties. I even dressed in epics to make it easy for you. That is how the board works. People asked our permission to clear the bounties. I helped a newbie bounty hunter figure out the ropes rather then just let the bounty expire. You talk about integrity while looking for a way to get paid to lose levels? Do the work yourself! 

I'll only respond this once as I don't want this to become another CC show ;-p

To answer your questions, 5 levels at EOC is worth nothing ;-p (Although waiting for stam gain is a pain)

Integrity is not the words I bring up... Another player loves to bring it up but not on causes that benefit themselves. Usually those are the first to remark about exploits to the game but not for these types :)

 

Who knew permission was required to clear bounties? That's another rule I didn't know about. Talk about mockery... lol. Can you imagine, *knock on the door*... Oh, it's Dog the bounty hunter... he's asking if it's ok to collect on the bounty? No? OK, we will mosey on. lol.

 

The example you brought up with 100's of fsp is a great example of how my suggestion (or Egami's) would work much better for the poster. He's probably gonna be less likely to use 100's of fsp to post again with the current system since the end result is a soft clear with gifts to your allies. Is that how the BB was intended to work? Don't answer, we don't need a CC show :)

You can't use outliers to prove a point however.

The large majority of players get much more OUT of guilds then they put IN.

Hell guilds are the primary reason we have an economy problem within FS.
Guilds mean that players generally don't need to provide anything for themselves.
Not having to pay for personal gear, personal buffs and not having to pay to upgrade that gear has created a surplus of personal wealth which inflates the MP. Not to mention the affect it's had on the value of most of the items in the game.


I'm not sure I really understand how you can argue against the vast benefits guilds provide however. I've spent a lot of time in global chat. When newbies show up and ask for advice, I've seen you personally reply many times. You ALWAYS advise players to get in a guild for free gear and buffs. You literally TELL everyone what I've been saying here... Seems like your just arguing for the sake of it right now.

Darn forum stalkers. Ok you got me. But still there is those negatives. It's not all (or almost all benefit as you put it).
For newer players, it's a n brainier. For bigger players, not so much.
