If I'm not mistaken, this exact issue was brought up back in 2010-2012 and Hoof himself made a change to the ladders so you have to make an attack for ticks to count towards any medal you get from the ladder because people were in a ladder bracket with nobody else at all or had people not attacking while on the ladder and were earning those ticks towards a medal or medals without doing anything at all. And yes, people did complain about other people earning those free ticks towards any medal you get on the ladder, which is why it was changed.

So unless this rule was changed between that time and now, sitting on a ladder all by yourself and earning any type of medal shouldn't be allowed.

Ah yes, I recall that as well. Even says so in the description of how the ladder works (for those who care to read that is);

"Note that only players who have either attacked or defended will be included in the ladder."

As much as the thread has been derailed from the get go this is not about WHO is doing what (although there is something about knowingly "abusing/using" in the TOS), it is only about WHO is not making the system work as intended, and described - oh, and also not responding nor reacting to stuff like this; HCS.

There should be NO medal ticks, nor tokens earned - if you do not attack nor defend. Simple. Now go fix it!

I have to agree. I’m not trying to take away epics achievement 6000 is crazy and Congrats to that. But to have a ladder all to yourself to farm Medal dominance ticks all the way to Diamond then on top of it Farm countless Ladder tokens seems like a slap in the face to those that grind ladder every day to get that #1 spot and lose Exp have to repair gear daily still don’t guarantee them the 1 spot either not to mention the cost of buffs / Stamina / Composing pots or any pots to attack and defend. I believe that the ladder should extend to whatever the EOC content is. I know he spent a ton a fsps to get to 6,000 again that’s an insane hunt and crazy to see. But shouldn’t allow the player to obtain free medal ticks and ladder tokens. Which will lead to controlling the market for said items available to sell in market place and the Fsp market for any gold profit made of any items sold…

This buff is not being added to the game :) Its name was featured in a past roadmap, but we removed it as we believe it's not something that should be added at this time in its current iteration (in other words: it needs reworked or discarded entirely). It was shown because Tilley asked what happened to it  :)

I don't think so Penny - going to each SE spawn site, and sweeping (potentially) the whole map is a pretty time-consuming process :)

Farsight

Reveal if a Super Elite is in your current realm. At level 125+ it has a chance of revealing the location as well.
 
 
This buff should NEVER make it into the game ... this is one area that demands time and effort to be successful in (unless, like others, you buy locations) - why does this aspect of the game need nerfing ?
 
IF you're adamant about adding the buff, then randomise all the SE locations - otherwise, I could do a whole sweep, for EVERY SINGLE SE, in minutes ...

Relic Defender will not do anything. Reign of Terror should not be a buff to begin with. Especially after multiple group attempts have been added to be able to RNG capture relics. We are littered with copious amounts of detrimental and impactful RNG buffs. Odds are you will get a concoction of procs by the time you've exhausted 10 group hits.

For the players that play this part of the game, this is not fun.

Remove Reign of Terror and don't add Relic defender.

All for one makes sense, SE sets simply do not match up after a certain level due to scaling. I've not ran the numbers on exactly how impactful it will be. But I'm sure someone (Toreth) will do that for us.

Not sure galvanize is necessary, seems like we keep caking on power creep and not having an equal and opposite correction to PVE. On top of that having more buffs is not necessarily good for PvP. We already have so many means of passively and actively increasing HP.

What is trying to be accomplished with Galvanize and Relic Defender?

I don't know what % of players would want HCS to spend time on questing content but hopefully there are meaningful or substantial rewards that are hard to ignore like the epic quests or the Christmas quests at level 3000 for leveling pots.

As a writer myself, we will be able to dabble into content that admittedly hasn't seen much attention. In regards to Epic Questlines that have yet to finish (most notably Present Darkness) I personally will be happy to deliver that conclusion that so many of you have been asking for  :)

ALL guilds should be entitled to attempt to take a relic. No matter if that guild is only 1 player or 50 players. Why stop the small guilds from having that right ? What is the reasoning ?


All guilds are. If they have 3 members or more. You want game mechanics changed for your play style. YOU made that choice.

Next we will see guilds asking to be able to 2 man gvg with only 2 members.

Why now have you only spoken up about not being able to create groups to take relics? It's been that way since the beginning of the game and seemingly hasn't bothered you until now?

I see a lot of talk about things being unachievable.... Reading over the list, I see nothing that is any more daunting than say "Unstoppable"... How many of you have reset the count for that achievement? (be honest with yourself, now)

The more things we get, the more we seem to be dissatisfied with what we get...

Maybe the cows should just mimic other games, with regular events always being nothing but just one more money grab.... would this make you guys happy?

Penny, most of us are not happy with sucking up crumbs.

This update really showed how out of touch they (whoever greenlit this) are with the game. Granted I knew this was going to happen most likely I hinted a few times I hope the achievements make sense and are worth it. But alas most of these are not worth the time of day.

Updates are supposed to give players a reason to play the game. Some of these shake out to be 2-3 years long group quests, the reward must make sense.

No one is attacking the cows for the sake of attacking the cows. We dont get new things very often so ofcourse we expect things to be very thought out.

Takes like these allow these things to happen. You can't straight face me and tell me +10 stats has an effect at any part of the game, any player that has played for atleast a week knows this.

Let's work together to improve this update.

Hello! There are a few small relic change requests that I have that were promised to us 11 months ago. Please see below for the relic change 11 months ago that I am referencing:

 

Secondly, there is now an option for the Guild Leader to disband unwanted Relics. Once disbanding a Relic, the same guild cannot recapture the Relic for 24 hours. Permissions for capturing Relics will be added at a later date when the app is in a more stable state.

 

1. Please add a permission to abandon relics. Only the Guild Founder still has this ability.

2. If you abandon a relic, add a guild log message as to who abandoned the relic and what relic was abandoned. As of right now, there are no log messages about this happening.

3. Add a cooldown on the relic that the guild has abandoned so the guild knows when it can be captured again.

most are in a guild or have plenty of buffs to not even remotely need it, there are a minority who could get a tiny use outta it, gold farming and elites for quests,  better than scraping it or no? fair enough to say its not needed, tho what buffs truly are, bar a minority? i think u are right for the rich or well covered, which is most, perhaps it might be fun for a minority?

If we are talking about gold hunting, i think you will want things that activate at 100%. We have SSI for this, so i think we wouldn't have a use for it.

As far as tackling more difficult creatures that you may not be able to one shot. This will just be random RNG that makes it easier. I'm not sure we want creatures to be any easier.

I'd rather have it PvE Only opposed to PvP and PvE... But i think it's better if it was just not added in general.

Random Number Generator or chance buffs have been always a part of FS. Replace them with "a sure thing" buffs is easier but can interfere with "it's a game" aspect of FS.

 

As to Flinch, levellers may not desire change to the buff. Different description for levellers and PvPers might work.

 

My 2 cents.

I'm not sure how involved you are in Leveling and PvP, however the significance of RNG buffs is very high. Doubling/Tripling/adding stats (The synergies are out of control), i can go on more. As one of the most distinguished levelers in the game I can assure you nerfing flinch will have absolutely no effect. As a leveler you either protect yourself with Summon shield imp (If you are trying to gold hunt) or you are maximizing exp gains and should be dying instead of two hitting it when enhancements kick in. 

Little known fact, when you die (lose combat against a creature) even if you are running 50x doubler you will only use 1 stamina and lose 1 stamina worth of exp. However if the creature gets first strike or dodge and you miss the first hit and you manage to survive to the 2nd hit and kill it you will have used double the stamina. You can make HUGE improvements if you understand this concept, this is one of many.

If for whatever reason you wanted to live through using defense while leveling just use defense damage setups with shield wall. Utilize Fortitude and Chi strike and call it a day. You will blast through any creature with ease. If levelers think flinch is necessary it just means they lack proper education on the topic.

Creatures having attack have absolutely no effect on anything leveling related. If you are interested in this topic hit me up in-game I'd be glad to walk you through how to improve your leveling (Discord works better for me though).

I would also say that the 5~10 attacks per group shouldn't count for Relic captures, Hoof said in the past the multiple attacks per group wouldn't count towards Relic attacks, no idea why that changed...Or never got fixed, for me the group should dissolve after 1 Relic attack, winning or losing, it's way too easy to make 1 group survives for 10 hours+ of Relic Captures... Having to create new groups would at least force the guild to be more active during Relic wars.

I think it's time to increase the results on the find player page from 25 to at least a 100 (and have a filter to weed out players that have not been online more than seven days). With so many inactive players at each level, I hardly can see more than 8 active players for the DQs. And the list on fight players page is limited to just 5.
