In Topic: Idea that might enhance global quests

19 July 2014 - 12:55

You both have a good point about the Frag market and hw this might not benefit those who actually compose.

And unfortunately my argument to support one, is at the cost of the other :D

I would say to the people who do compose that while they still only get 3 chests the availability of MORE frag chests from guild mates ... but this would still result in the frag market taking a serious hit :P

From what you have said I would add the following:

1) This can apply to all global quests, not just frag ones

2) The amount of kills needed to get to these tiers is flexible... I trust the cows to determine what would be fair

I will admit this idea has more rough edges than a Redneck in Paris.  An idea in motion more than anything else :)

In Topic: Balanced Attack/Defense

The way I read the buff "+0.05% per point added to Attack and Damage if every piece of equipped gear is the same level" applies to more than just 9-piece sets.

For example if your Gear is:

Level 400- Ammit Hide Shield and Dagger of Ammit (Complete Set)

Level 400- Guantlets of Misfortune and Armour of Misfortune (Complete Set)

Level 400- Maximus Boots of Glory and Maximus Helm of Honor (Incomplete Set)

Level 400- Argus Eye Amulet and Argus Eye Rune (Incomplete Set)

Level 400-  Xmas Scream Ring (Random Common Ring)

Then you would benefit from the Specifics of the buff :)

I chose that level and that gear at random... not due to any awesome synergy.

If I have understood the nature of the buff correctly, then there is still potential to work this buff well :)

In Topic: New Skills / Enhancements

There are already 780 replies to this thread, so this suggestion may be lost. Or it may already have been suggested and buried, so I apologize if this is a repeat.

New Skill: Savvy Prospector (name is totally negotiable! ;) )

Level: Unknown, the Cows are better for this sort of thing

Effect: In general the point of this buff is to give a %chance of a %amount of gold from a successful PvM attack to go straight to their bank.  For example 0.05% per point chance that 0.1% of gold from a successful attack (after guild tax) goes straight to the players bank. So, at lvl 175, that is 8.75% chance per kill that 17.5% of the gold won (after guild tax) goes to his bank rather than on his person.

I think this can be a balanced skill.  The Cows will know how to spread the percentages per point so that it isn't OP and it opens the door to some major potion buffs!  Also this in NO WAY INCREASES THE TOTAL AMOUNT OF GOLD IN THE GAME :)   Sorry, that was all caps, because no one wants to flood the gold market any more ;)  It is a security buff for those who want to stock gold.

I don't think this will hurt PvP theft, especially when I suggest the following:

New Skill: Crafty Cutpurse!

Level: Same as above

Effect:  You guessed it!  the same kind of buff as above, but for gold stolen in PvP!  X% chance of X% gold stolen goes straight into your bank ;)  So that's security for PvM and security for PvP.  And if done properly, not OP for either :)

Hope these ideas don't suck!

Cheers,
