Sorry Juvi, but this seems like another easy give away for players who always want more. At least that's my take. I voted 'don't care at all, don't use my stam already'.  Since the seasons thing, I can't be bothered to hunt, worry about the global whatevers, or anything really. Other then posting on the forums or stomping for the guild. It took alot of wind out of alot of sails and I don't think things have really recovered. Maybe my own feelings still spilling over. But why do we need more anything? Use epics, there are plenty, if you want more stam.  That's what they're for.

I don't think Hoof is all over the place. I think he's reading the posts, around all the drama "quit liking what our enemies say' nonsense that keeps going on, talking it over with the team and making changes as they see fit.  There are several issues I can't wait to basically say "I told you so,' about, as a matter a fact. So I'm not liking all the changes either.  But the fact their listening, making changes and adjustments, and moving forward with ideas all over the game is good over all. We're not always going to get our way. But posts made with less emotion and more facts seem to be taken more seriously. Isn't that what the forum is for, to discuss the game and direction we'd like to see it go in.

Sorry, it's the frustration talking. We're wanting to try this method for a while. It's not a new method by any means and we have used it across the game before. We'd like to give it a try across multiple facets of the game for now. My personal thoughts on this are as follows (bearing in mind they would be discussed with Hoofmaster and Mojawk as all the changes we implement are.)

Ladder : Use Realm & Cave LE items, SE items & Arena Crystalline.

Arena : Use Realm & Cave LE items, SE items & Ladder items. Heck, as it's crystalline (which only has a finite life) we can use the new Ladder rewards. Just use them when they are down to zero durability.

Epics : Probably not used for an initial drop but we can certainly look at using the same stuff I mention above for augmenting Epics into new gear, absorbing excess items from multiple areas of the game again.

SE and LE drops? Not as likely, I admit as they are a differing type of event, same as Globals, after a fashion. They don't go away unless used for composing frags. Remember, composing was implemented specifically to absorb excess items while rewarding those who work at it with the ability to create knifty potions for themselves and their Guild.

Additionally, I did mention I'd be happy to put up an in-game poll regarding unbinding the Ladder resources but was pretty quickly shot down. No one else has brought that up. Heck, I could put one live over the weekend and get the results on Monday afternoon.

 

Thanks for the list of idea you have in mind. That's what I was looking for. And sadly, it also highlights my concern. Can't you see how limiting this is to the ladder players vs. every other type of game player there is? You mention having the arena use items, but are you going to bind the arena items so that the arena players have to use these items like the ladder players? You clearly say you won't do the same with epics, which is titan drops, SE or LE items. We've tried unbinding the ladder rewards and it killed the ladder quickly. Unbinding them now is going to go the same way. But the recent update still makes things even harder on the ladder players without limiting the other players in the game. In fact, it forces the ladder players to depend on everyone else to do anything with their rewards while giving them no value. It's a no win situation, with the ladder losing out no matter which way it goes.

I've asked this previous and the post was ignored. This update wouldn't be so bad if other areas of the game were forced to include other aspects of the game as well. Ladder players are now being made to help the arena. Is the plan to do this with other areas of the game as well? Are we going to see arena players need to get ladder rewards to do anything with their winnings? Are titan hunters going to have to play the arena to get items to make their titan rewards usable? I'm not sure how else that would be incorporated into the game play, but that would make it seem less like a slap in the face of the ladder players.

 

Edit: Just for clarity, I'm not a ladder player or an arena player. I've dabbled in both and found they didn't appeal to me. I played long enough to get the items I wanted and jumped back out.

I dont understand why the game cannot stay lag-free?

 

it's not like we're asking for too much, like asking you to explain a black hole or something.... i just want the game to run smoothly and it not hinder me every single time i hunt. It's becoming a bit ridiculous really.... 

 

I want to know what games you're playing that are always lag free. Because every game I've ever played has the same complaint. LAG.  It happens. Not always the fault of HCS either.

I have zero issue losing xp when clearing a bounty. I'm a pvp player and went into it knowing that my level and xp would be fluid because of it. But the way I started was by bounty hunting. I learned as I went, because that's really the best way. If I had to face xp loss on the bb for losing a hit against someone who is on the bb to be punished,  I never would have been brave enough to start.

 

I'm with the others in that this is not going to inspire people to get involved in the bb. This is another kick to the teeth of PvP. Those of us already fine with playing the bb aren't going to care. But no one new is going to want to figure it out now.

If a 'leveling' guild can use their higher level members to 'defend' a relic, why can't a 'pvp'  guild play to their strength as well, and defend a relic with pvp?  We can't keep another guild from going after the relics we want, but we should be allowed to make it uncomfortable for them. Why tie one hand behind our backs?

 

It wasn't always like that, that the communication was frowned on in a war. It became that after several wars where HCS stepped in and used diplomatic messages against us to stop wars dead in their tracks. Telling another guild we were just defending the relic started to be seen as a 'threat' by HCS. But the last time,  Grim called us bullies and went off about how we couldn't hide behind the 'no demands' or 'no messages' policy we had started practicing. So even that wasn't working to follow the rules, per HCS.

What is the purpose of bounty tickets? Other then for the tickets to not be there when I'm ready to accept a bounty and for it to cost me time on the bounty to have to stop, buy more, then be able to accept it?

Conserve has to activate in order to work. It isn't some 'free pass' from the bb. You're lucky to get it to kick once or twice in a normal bounty clear. I had great fun using distilled conserve pots clearing high level players off the bb who were trying to delevel for gxp. Made hundreds of fsp's in days. And I was lucky to get it to kick in 3 or 4 in a bounty. Bounty hunting can be a drain on the stam, which bounty hunters need to level in order to be as effective as possible. The use of conserve as a way to conserve stam as a bh'er is a practice I've always used. It wasn't presented as a bug. It was understood as how it was meant to be. We're not asking for any changes. Just leave it the way it has been. This also works in your favor, should you ever choose to be on the bounty board.

Conserve has always worked as saving the xp and stam of both hitter and defender. I understand it was unintended but please don't change it! BH'ers will use conserve when clearing friendly,  take conserve off with people they don't want to be so friendly to, screw up and forget they have it activated and accidentally save someone they meant to stomp, or try to see how many they can help a friend out with, etc, etc. We have great fun with it.
