Rereading my original post, I do want to highlight the following to avoid misinterpretation:

 

I, personally, think any and all Guilds that have made the "Top Rated" in whatever category throughout the history of FS are to be applauded. 

 

Absolutely ALL of them require time, effort and perseverance. They do/did deserve congrats for supreme effort.

 

We just sought to do something that no other Guild had done OR could take away. Mission accomplished. (o0

Here at Brethren of the Death Lord (BotDL), not unlike other Guilds, we work together to achieve our goals.
 
Like most, we have seen great players come and go in our more-than-10-year history.
 
We simply played and watched as Guilds bickered over who was the best in one game aspect or other.
 
We agreed in the FS Forum, with many others, that the “number one Guild” in the game would not be the Guild that simply had the most XP.
 
We watched as HCS responded and created several so-called Top Rated categories for Guilds.
 
We’ve seen that so many Guild claim to be the “best” … in their posts, in their bios, in their imaginary thoughts of grandeur.
 
We’d seen, over more than 10 years, that all those were temporary definitions as Guilds switched rankings in absolutely all aspects.
 
And yet, little changed. “We’re the best” still seems to be a claim that old grandparents claim too based on… nothing.
 
We knew, and experienced, that all those “Top Rated” categories were transitory and did not, in our opinion, define the “Best Guild”.
 
As expected, no Guild in game has maintained any of those “top” ranks. Now claims that a Guild is the best, isn’t even backed by an explanation. Why are they the best? Because they say so? Odd.
 
We watched the discussions and always felt that a true “top Guild” should be involved in all game aspects. And while we were sure that, sooner or later, we could be the best in any, or even all, of those categories, we searched our souls for how we could prove ourselves to be the best Guild in FS.
 
And the question most evidently became: How can BotDL become a Legacy Guild?
 
In other words, what could BotDL do to avoid the “silliness” regarding temporary ranks that HCS had “approved”?  Was there away to avoid all those “egos” that claimed to be what they were not and simply avoid the argument?
 
What could we, as a Guild, do that could NEVER be taken away and put us, eternally, at the top?
It was obvious.
 
Not a single one of the Guilds in the top 100 “rated categories” have been able to do what we have now achieved:
 
BotDL is the first Guild ever to complete all five Guild Achievements. And so it stands, for now and forever.
 
That, in our opinion, is “legacy”.
 
It’s something that, unlike all the other so-called “Top Rated” categories, will NEVER be taken away.
 
Whatever comes to be, BotDL is the first to claim the title.
 
And grant it, we do hope that more Guild Achievements will be created. But that will be up to HCS to decide.
 
We wish the best of luck to all Guilds, current or future, in following in our footsteps (we definitely expect you to follow in them… Well, if you can, and this post, and our Guild profile page, shows that you most definitely “can”).

#987275 Suggestion: possibility to extract FSP from Forged items

What about "some ritual" to move part of the invested FSP from one FF/Crafted item to another? It would work like the Apocalypse (in X-men), but with a cost varying from 0 to 1.

In many games I play, one can "dismantle" outgrown eepuipment and sacrifice a small amount of stat value, and transfer what's left to the new item.  However, these games are set up with no player to player commerce, so such provisioning would change the FS economy in that sense, if not destroy it entirely.  So, unfortunately, this type of thing wouldn't work for FS.   As Hades said, though, originally we were able to "unforge" an item and get back the invested FSP, I can't remember whether there was a sacrifice involved there but it seems to me that there would have been.  Not sure why it was changed, but I imagine it was because we have unscrupulous players that will exploit anything they can.  Good for Hoof for closing a loophole, bad for us with outgrown FF equipment that nobody wants, for whatever reason (guild tagging)

PoinyHair i really like this idea , wish you had a clone that lived near the cow studios ,they need a lot of help over there ..

 

100% for it. So many more cool things can be done with crowd sourcing.

 

Keep up the great work , we think you are one of the best things that ever happened to this game ,thanks again for all you do..




#987109 FSH Upcoming Feature - SE Kill Tracker

Hey all

I wanted to float this one to get some community feedback before I release it.
It is a SE Kill Tracker. The idea being that back in the olden days, when there
was only 4 or 5 SE's, last 10 kills was fine. These days however it is totally
inadequate.
The way I've written it at the moment is to read the SE Log in the background
every 10 mins. This is different to how other processes in FSH work. As long as
you have the game open in a tab somewhere it will be reading the SE Log.
Basically it's like having auto refresh on. As far as the game is concerned you
will appear to be active. You would have to keep a browser open pretty much 24/7
to get an accurate report.
In discussion with beta testers about this feature they came up with an
alternative. Quite an interesting one in fact. Instead of background scanning we
could crowdsource the data. Every FSH user could choose to share their data with
a central service, in return they would get aggregated data reports. In this
instance every participating player would share SE Kill Data and receive a
complete report of the last time each SE was killed.

So, thoughts?

I’m not sure if this has been mentioned before, but I was thinking, since the top 3 in GE get to design a LE/SE, why not have some GEs where the top 3 get to design new mercenaries?

Would be interesting if the same concept for personal DQ was mimicked for guilds just on a bigger scale. Rewards could be guild gold/fsp/rp/special buff packages or upgrades towards special/unique structures etc. Most of the code's already there would be an easy add.
