Also if you are placed within the top 100 event contributors you will receive an additional Ruby chest reward.
Does this mean that we will get 16 total chests for top 100?

#865996 I wanna start a guild!
Posted by Gutie
on 30 April 2014 - 01:10
EDIT: Regarding the first key point of this.... A lot of players who have left to start guilds end out losing out on it. It's not like it was in 09-10 when a guild outside the top 200/250 could indiscriminately kick people over trivial things and there being no problem finding 5 more who would want in on the guild. (Funny how advertising FS was still going on back then...)
That and there's a HUGE difference between making a guild, and making one whose goal is to claw to or towards the top. It simply can't be done alone.
Also, a player's reputation and relationship with other players is key. Only certain kinds of players will join a guild that is surging towards to top if it's leadership has less than a good outlook within the game community.
If one lacks the resources to surge upwards at a rapid clip it takes a genuinely considerate environment that encourages members to feel free to seek to address concerns and ask questions in order to ensure as much of the membership as possible has a clear idea of what is going on in the guild.
Keeping promises is key. Best way to ensure this is done is to not make promises you might not be able to keep. Making modest comittments while still stating goals you seek to aim for is the best route I think for someone seeking to start a guild and as well as one wishing to advance a guild they play a key role in.
Stating comittments that one can see occurring in the short term with ease is preferable to things dependent on maybes/ifs reliant on other people one thinks will join but have yet to do so. I can't count how many times I've sought out recruits last year who ended up going to a flashy guild ranked above us.
Also. Don't give preferential treatment to players simply because they are of a high level/upgrades. Stay consistent to how you do things with other guildmembers. Long term, those existing members who are active and motivated to be a part of your guild will be key to what you do as a guild. Do NOT forsake loyalty for short-term gains. A player who left one guild to join yours who has conditions upon joining very well could up and leave for another with fancier gear/etc to play with.
But anyhow, just my bits on it all.

#864203 Suggestions regarding XP Gain. (Has been diverted slightly into Accelerated l...

In light of how many players view reaching EOC starting out or even from the mid 3-digit levels, highly implausible. I've been mulling over a few suggestions to alleviate this.
One such is a few changes to XP Gain.
1) Remove the scaling down at lower levels (below Level 500).
2) Increase the amount of XP Gain epics give by a factor of 10 or even 25. (At a higher level it's negligible anyhow, but at lower levels it will make some items, such as Fire Dragon Ring, Leaf Dragon Rune and the Gurguiss Crystalline set at least somewhat useful again.)
3) Increase the amount XP Gain upgrade gives by either 25 or 50 per investment. (To be blunt, the amount xp gain gives relative to levels was never adjusted as content was added. It is most effective in the 400-800 zone and almost laughable from 1300 on, likely ever increasingly so later on. Give more incentive to invest in this character upgrade. The gap between newer and higher up players is to the point of absurdity. This can be a tweak that benefits everyone equally, and also aids in players feeling that they are making notworthy progress into the game.)
4) Alternatively or in fact in addition to these changes, increase the base xp gain per hour to 5 times what it currently is not related to added via upgrades/equipment.
5) When adding the next portion of the Epic Quests, instead of Stamina gain. Made a large amount of XP gain per hour, plausibly 500 per hour or even 1000 per hour.
In the grand scheme of things, the end goal is player retention.
As things are, a non-donor has literraly no chance to reach EOC in the current setup of FS. Even with these changes, it's pretty close to impossible save for possibly 3-5 years of CONSTANT activity, even then highly unlikely.
I think these changes to XP Gain can assist players, (particulalry donors moreso than others in the case of #3), though through leveling gold gained from creatures at higher level can then be converted over to FSP to seek out said upgrade.
In the grand concept of these changes to XP gain, we can see a bit of an uptick in player growth as well as a possible overall morale boost that the notion of being behind EOC players at a scale I've seen in no other MMO I've played, can be slightly alleviated, and thus continual activity by players can get the rest rolling out.
I believe we can then give new or long term gone, but returning players a solid boost to surge forward to feeling they can play a role in guilds they join to a larger degree than before without ever having to go and spam out current or reserve stamina beyond the existing Phoenix Reutrning Player system.
Anyhow, feel free to tear the concept to shreds, as I'm sure some are want to do, lol.

it could be on preference an option to able or disable these open chest notifications.
(If the player want s/he can keep it to track the amount of frags s/he got from te frag stashes or disable the notification if s/he prefer to do not get his/hers log box full with this notifications)
I've got more than 120 pages of auto open frag stash notifications lol

I really didn't see the need for our logs to get spammed with the Chest opened info I am sure other also feel this way... Just seems a bit extreme to me....
As I said earlier in the thread....
It is at the moment. We welcome feedback on whether you feel you need that notification at all?

It would be great to have had the option to turn that log message off .. I didn't do that many kills , had just hunted before the event, but still my log got swamped.
Maybe set up preferences to :-
1. Log every chest open
2. Log a total from every "X" chests opened (be that 10, 50, 100, whatever)
3. Log every time 100 common fragments have been received (or 50, or 150 or whatever)
4. Do not log the chest openings

Great event! Great rewards! ( I seriously do not know what I'm going to do with that mess of shards though.....) I'm in it for the medal anyway.
The way I see it, the reward(s) have to be good enough to appeal to those approaching EOC, and not over-powering for those who don't have massive amounts of stamina.
The dual potion chest seems like a good idea to me, but I don't really care about the rewards, as you use the potion and it's gone. The medals are just a means of keeping track of what you've done, and are sorta nice. I honestly don't know what a good reward would be, but certainly not an overpowered epic potion. In my view the players in the game have gotten into a "gimme, gimme, gimme!" mode, which if this was Monopoly, they'd want to be playing it with real money ![]()
It was a good event. I enjoyed it! Which Is what I was hoping for anyway.

Hello, I doubt anyone around here remembers me anymore but I use to do graphics here a long time ago. Recently I have had a bit of spare time and think I might begin to dabble in it again. However I am faced with a conundrum. My resources are gone. I have no renders, stocks, brushes, c4ds, effects, really anything except photoshop and an extremly small amount of artistic talent. I come asking for any help that can be offered. Whether it is your favorite renders, or some snazzy effects and such. Thank you very much. As repayment all art I make while back will be posted for people own use for free.
