#861123 Bad default standing locations when interacting with NPC's.

I've moved the NPCs in the leather working shop further apart, this should solve the issue of players ending up standing on top of the opposite NPC.

I did try some more complex approaches but I found this solution gave the best result with the least problems.

The change will likely be in the next update.

 

Timing is everything.  I mentioned this back in January and got zero response.

Timing really is everything. Apologies for the slow, scattered responses for the past few months. There's been a lot to do between the various improvements, fixes and the recent content update.

We need more Tanks... I am thinking of using the free birth stone to create a Tank, but I'd like to see:

 

1.  Decreased durability loss for Tanks in Instances.

 

2.  Increased (x2) experience for Tanks in Instances and without the decrease in xp when above level.

I feel something should be done to prevent people from afking I would also like to see stratergy in the game not just smash and kill sorry not everyone is all about smashing stuff  I want to know why some players seem to be listened to more then others are they secretly devs if so to be fair to the rest of us they shouldn't be listed in highscores they have an upper hand if they are because they have inside information and will know where everything is and where the best grind spots are this is not fair to the normal players another question for ya is why do mages get shown all the love and the rest of the classes see nerfs I have noticed this and was wondering why I don't want somplayer answering this I want a dev to answer my questions if a player answers it will make me think they are a dev in disguise

Sadly, new instances keep becoming longer and more dreary instead of fun and challenging. 

 

For example, the only fun/challenging fight in Rumble's Grotto is the second boss - the entire team actually has to pay attention to when he spawns adds, be ready to stun, heal, and resurrect dead party members.

 

But the third boss? I think most people are secretly afking or watching tv/reading a book until it ends. There's just no challenge involved, you just plunk down right in the center of the room and shoot/whack at the boss until its dead... 2 million hp later. 

 

A high level instance needs different strategies to finish aside from the current "tank keep aggro, healer heal, and all dps afk with auto attacks until big bad boss is dead 5-10 minutes later". I thought this was what testing ASV before releasing level 45 cap was supposed to address.

 

It doesn't need to be long, if doing the dungeon comes with a high risk of dying, then it is more fun to do. It will also provide a gold sink for some of the wealthiest portion of the population. 

 

And strategy doesn't need to be complicated. For example, let the boss have a charge attack everyone can see, and needs to be silenced/stunned to stop or party dies. Or let boss randomly aggro the highest dps character for 15 seconds. Keeps everyone on their toes. 

 

This way, can also shorten time for runs down from 1 hour for 4 relics.

  • Found the Fallen Sword
  • Got the flawless Calgorn skin
  • Got impression from sword
  • Went to Buccaneer Griffith with impression
  • Went to Temple of flame and acquired the 15 servant trinkets
  • Turned them into Buccaneer Griffith and was to receive charm

Did not receive a charm. Quest (gold button COMPLETE) says I received a "powerful new charm" but was never presented the popup for the charm, and never received it in my inventory (in any bag). Received nothing but the Raiders of the Lost Tombs reputation (and a bit of coin).

the loss of EP usage for purchasing extra character slots, the loss of EP purchases for Repsecing

 

they can be addressed with comments such as "happier players spend more money" or "people will buy exp pots to level the 2nd slot toon" but those are assumptions and the loss of the EP is a fact therefore must be listed as cons

 

overall i still feel the pro's outweigh the cons but they are there :P

with npc potions and shop potions removed=more players making potions=more money spent on tonics=gold sink increasing+more benefits to people making the potions as they would finally get a decision in what they sell their pots for.

yeah that too but i was just replying to the person saying it wouldn't be a gold sink but only a transfer of gold. which in a sense is right, right now bying pots at a npc/shop the gold is gone buying from a player it just changes hands, but the more hands the gold gets transfered between the more gold is devided/spent

 

so that + what you point out here deffenently help in the gold sink department

I would not consider this poll vaired enough.  For the options you have new story content and finish what hcs started. Both very murky options. Poll should of been fleshed out to cover new updates in the terms of Guilds, player market etc.   This poll has left out some things that need to be there as options.

I feel this poll is biased, as there's not a real diversity of options. It's just a multiple choice question where you can't choose neither. I generally think HCS can do what they want with the game, and players should only suggest what gets added, and not enforce it. The team at HCS have their own image for the game, and when you add a bunch of players from different gaming backgrounds into the equation, it can turn into a war zone if certain players don't get what they want. For example, some people complain the PvP is shit, yet HCS said multiple times that they're not focusing on PvP at this point in time, and other people might complain that HCS aren't working fast enough when it comes to adding new drops and loot tables. 

 

I basically think HCS should work at their pace, not ours.

Whats's about making additional slots for more builds ,unlockable by ep or gold(ofc less ep, more gold to unable unlock this). This will make us more variety of available builds ( for example 1 pve and 1 pvp build) and will make more ep-gold sink options to make our economy alive.  This option can stop inflation also :). What's ur opinions about this idea? Sry for mistakes I made :)

Would be fun to have an event where weakened world bosses roamed free on Eldevin for like a week or so.  Weakened to the point that they could be taken down by groups of ten or so.  Might even be more fun for the bosses to be the devs gone mad that the community has to defeat.   They could spawn randomly and the community has to come together quickly to defeat them for loot and possibly a world reward.

Maelstrom is close combat. While you hit the mobs, they will hit you back... I tend to use an stun before I start with Maelstrom, hoping to be able to do enough damage to kill enough of the mobs, so that I can heal up enough to continue.  While Maelstrom is active you can barely move around, so there is no running away, while they beat you up. You can't stop it, you can't heal as long Maelstrom is active, s if the other side is doing more damage then expecte you will end up dead....

 

To be honest, i think mages are overpowered. they are the only class that can use selfheal + cauterize efective enough during combat to be worthwhile. So, I would suggest make selfheal buffs depending on the energy stat :)
