#869418 Why I did not rush off to test the new PvP changes > option for 2 loadouts?

Posted by Mongo on 19 May 2014 - 15:05

If I wanted to go pvp (efficiently) today to check the changes with update... it would cost me 250 EP to respec, then after say 1 hour of pvp it would cost me another 250 EP to respec to go run ascended dungeons (efficiently)... after 2 hours of ascended dungeons maybe I want to pvp again, it would cost me another 250 EP. Tomorrow? the same thing and so on and so on.

Do we see a problem here?  :P

I know it has been suggested many times, but lets suggest it again... would it be possible to have 2 loadouts of attribute points, talents? 2 spell bar loadouts would be good too, if possible.

It could still cost us EP to reset each loadout when we want to tweak them.

#869189 Eldevin Shop

Posted by Kijjum on 17 May 2014 - 21:06

I saw a broken down old shop while walking about Eldevin City, so I wanted to ask if I could buy it and set up my own little shop. It would look something like this:

#868875 PVP

Posted by RISDMAC on 15 May 2014 - 19:16

Since this seems to come up a lot I thought I'd drop in my two cents on the matter.

Let me start off by saying I am not personally interested in PVP nor do I take part on it but from observations I have made in other posts I thought I'd propose this one. (if it has been mentioned before I do apologise, but refer to my first comment as an explaination :P )

What would people think of a PVP system with rules similar to that in Fallensword? (another HCS game for those of you not familiar with it). Matches are generated that meet certain requirements; some are free for all, some can only use certain abilities and some can only use gear of a certain level.

With these rules implemented into the current game modes it could even the playing field for those not at max level by hitting a gear restriction or ability restriction. The more even the playing field the more competitive the match in my opinion (though again refer to first comment)

I have also seen it mentioned about "building a class" in the first few minutes before starting a match and this is what gave me the idea. In FS, you get to set your abilities before the game starts and play with these for every round you win until you are eliminated. If this was done as part of  pre-determined match type settings, you could set your PVP attribute/talent points you could have some very interesting match-ups. Having predefined set-ups also means you aren't scrambling to place talent points/ attributes 1 minute before the start of a match up so no one is delayed or drops out due to wait

You could even go as far as removing all skills from PVP bar basic ranged/ basic attack and instead implement a PVP scroll system purchasable only by valor so that unlocking higher level skills and becoming "champ" really is dependant on skill rather than on being level max.

It would give the underdog a fighting chance as they say. Since some of these match ups/systems already exist in FS, it mightn't be too difficult to transfer them across to this platform (maybe?   )

As I said, this is just in response to the multitude of PVP posts I've seen lately and feel free to ignore if my inexperience/disinterest in that aspect of the game means some of these suggestions are ridiculous  :D

#868803 Loyalty Points

Posted by RISDMAC on 15 May 2014 - 17:03

This probably could start a riot so I say this tentatively:

Stacks of gathering components could be bought using loyalty?

So I could get 25 sap for so many loyalty etc etc

#868416 New Quest Book Tab: Dailies

Posted by ernzor on 13 May 2014 - 10:06

Down the bottom of the quest book can we add a 3rd tab that contains all the dailies (professions and reputation) so that they dont clutter up the other books, or even if they are left in other books, jsut an easier place to sort them.

#868032 Problems

Posted by HuMoR on 11 May 2014 - 15:26

As people may know, there are a lot of us who buy extra character slots and raise our characters up to the highest lvls capable. There is a big problem with the current flake requirements to the game that are very painful to see the cost of. Freedom is Eliminated and the current price of flakes will just continue to rise with the current requirement. You are forced to either cap all skills for dailies or pay for the flakes in the game. (dungeon running for flakes is not to be mentioned as only the lucky few can continue to get them,In my hundreds of tr+BT runs...I've got maybe 6 total flakes rest i've bought for ep or sacks..

So here is a example really...of a player we know who has 6 lvl 45 characters and the cost or time basically applied for said flakes needed. labeling each char with sd(x)
sd1-5+8+10+80+10=113            340-360 hours DT
sd2-5+8+10+80+10=113            340-360 hours DT
sd3-5+8+10+80+10=113            340-360 hours DT
sd4-5+8+8+10+80+10+10=131  370-390 hours DT
sd5-5+8+8+10+80+10+10=131  370-390 hours DT
sd6-5+8+10+80+10=113             340-360 hours DT

Total:714 flakes. runs...if possible at minimum 714,if purchasing that is close to $357, if doing dailies that's over 2-3 months.

When looking at this...it is basically a punishment for spending money to buy more character slots.

No this isn't a p2w process, but the pay for convenience issue with this....is way out there even stretched more then the relic difference between non subs and subs.

I will need roughly 400 flakes as of next week and tons of remnants...it will cost me over $400 for my relics and remnants. For Sd it will cost him roughly...$600-$700, the price we pay to play a different way then others, a Slight reduction to these flake requirements and remnants requirements would be a life saver. Maybe 15 flakes per piece? and 30 remnants each or even 35(helms and weps)?

#866933 Anyone got ideas for more benefits of being a supporter?

Posted by iPlayNaked on 05 May 2014 - 10:18

Auction house slots, limited spots if f2p, more spots for supporter. Tie it in with guilds. As a supporter you get 10 extra guild member slots free. Limited to 10 people to start with an EP fee per 5 slots unlocked. Supporters would get 20 free spots to start. Of course these are vague ideas, but just an example of how a bunch of small perks should be added. Dont break the game by making supporter status absolutely necessary to have fun, just make it more convenient to have it than not.

#867594 Groups Bugged

Posted by ernzor on 09 May 2014 - 06:48

Having issues with groups and DC's at the moment.

If someone gets DCed (which happens alot recently) and they then rejoin they are not added back into group, rather they are seen as offline. This has been happening (for me) for the last few days in ascended dungeon groups, both within and outside the dungeons.

To fix you have to kick person from group and then re-invite them, just a slight annoyance...

#867598 Add the difficulty option in dungeon

Posted by Narciss on 09 May 2014 - 07:25

I dont know whether this has been suggested before or not, Ive checked and couldnt find one.

As per now, most dungeons require a balanced and non-heavily undergeared teammates. Waiting for dungeon is already frustrating enough, why should we be frustrated with unlikely chance to beat them?

For example, Ohdar (lvl 20 instance) is almost impossible to beat for casual lvl 19-20 players waiting from queue (i.e.: no tank/no healer/or both). To3 is practically impossible without a tank or healer, octopus will wipe them all.

My suggestion is simply add the difficulty option in instance. For example when a group leader enter the dungeon, he/she will get the following difficulty option :

1. Amateur

80% of boss health

70% of boss damage

Max loot tier : Green

No gem

Relic only from last boss

2. Rookie

90% of boss health

85% of boss damage

Max loot tier : Blue

-xx% loot chance of gem

Relic only from two last boss

3. Normal (current dungeon difficulty & loot)

4. Expert

115% of boss health

125% of boss damage

+xx% loot chance of heroic

5. Insane

130% of boss health

150% of boss damage

+xx% loot chance of heroic

+xx% loot chance of higher tier gem

Note: Number can/shall be discussed.

In addition to, add some achievement related to them and this could improve the dungeon replayability.

#867557 Gift Subscriptions

Posted by ChelseaBrick on 09 May 2014 - 00:15

I know I've asked for this before,but...please find a way that we can purchase subscriptions for other players or gift them in some way.  There must be something that can be developed, like a scroll or something and have it applied to another person's character/account.  Please?

#867442 Put Ascended in realm names

Just a quick suggestion. Put the word ascended or a star or something in realm name for ascended dungeons

#867357 New Vanity!

Posted by HuMoR on 07 May 2014 - 21:56

introduce new World boss vanity-World boss vanity only obtainable by getting a marked legendary chest.(obtain a marked vanity chest by defeating the world boss with 10 or less people) and give these chests a little bit more cash or w/e rewards in the coin bags then the normal legendary chests. Make the odds for the WB vanity items rarer then the current Rarity of items from normal Legendary chests. So instead of like 12% chance...how about 2% chance? (make these Vanity items bind on pickup) =If idea is chosen etc,I could share some ideas for what might be cool in regards to corresponding world boss vanity's that people might like?(keeps WB relevant other then the norm and makes it more worth it to attempt the bosses and more rewarding for using smaller teams.)

Also! Weapon vanity crafting-Requiring not only quests and slaying to be done but also aiding skillers.  smile.png
hoping this would actually be a 45+ content to make end game a bigger goal. Unique weapon vanities, that require a scroll to learn how to make them, but also require you to slay end game bosses, and quest to obtain them and require relevant materials to the level and rare materials.
(do a quest or quest series to open up a locked area,in the locked area can be a new boss or such that has the ability to drop the scroll that requires randomized materials for it to be crafted. then requiring a skiller or yourself to gather those materials to make said weapon vanity to be able to use.)
-Requires higher leveled materials, but not higher level crafting/gathering from yourself to make them.
^Doesn't force people to craft if they simply choose not to
^Still helps out skillers who choose not to do end game contents or etc and they can make money
^Allows for these unique weapon vanities To be just that, UNIQUE by being bind on pick up.(once the item is crafted it is Automatically bound to whoever made it!)

Example: Flaming brute mace, lvl 32 one handed mace vanity
Requires  100-1000 Iron bars, 20-50 flakes, 20 fine sharpening stones, scroll(substitutes remnants) 10-30 pure iron ore.

#867271 Sapphires need a buff

Posted by l3fty on 07 May 2014 - 14:56

Hey guys, yup we have read this :)

Mojawk mentioned here http://forums.hunted...showtopic=64844 about these sort of suggestions, this almost certainly falls under the itemisation improvements we're planning to make in a future build. We definitely don't want to discourage healers :D

#867221 Sapphires need a buff

Posted by ComradeLewis on 07 May 2014 - 06:17

I am disappointed that this has gone unaddressed, when it's so important to keeping the game alive for level 45 players. If there is absolutely no reason for level 45 prophets, that have their robe set finished, to log on, then there is going to be no ASV, ARG, RG, BT runs for anyone else. That will lead to a general population loss for max level players.

Wouldn't keeping players playing be more important than another instance clone shoveled out for the masses to mindlessly consume?
