#879821 Won't run with Java 7 Update 65

I installed the Java 7 U65 version days ago and the game was working just fine until tonight and that was on my usual browser..Firefox. I switched to IE with the updated Java 7 U65 and the game loads fine and I can play so I don't think its so much a problem with Java upgrade as it is the game itself is apparently having random problems across the board with the Java upgrade  on different browsers. 

 

Like for me I have Windows 7 64 bit with the present Java 7 update 65 and I usually use Firefox as my browser and it worked just fine for me yesterday but tonight its stuck on the Install java screen.  So I tried switching Browsers to IE with the Java 7 U65, and the game loaded just fine and I can play.  So again I don't think its us but the game itself that is randomly having issues with the java update in random browsers.

I think a sin familiar should be a mirror image of themselves that acts and does what they do so it can distract an enemy as they take it out before the real player.

Hate this idea. I do not want to be forced to level up a prof to make my own helms for the sets.

 

I also do not want to have to pay en extortionate amount for one, as only the crazy grinders would ever be able to craft more than a few helms to sell. They could do 100 runs of tr and if unlucky still not get the 20 rems that is needed to make one helmet at lvl 40.

 

Even using their relics to buy rems, that is 80 runs per helm alone.

 

This would profit the players who are online loads and harm the enjoyment of casual players. Who may never be able to afford a helm. At least now, they can get their helms, even if they play casually and do a few runs each time they are free.

 

Just my opinion.

I'm thinking about way down the road, stuff that will not need to be released when the game goes live, unless  HCS team wants to of course!! tongue.png

 

Idea: Concerning the Familiar. Remember the old arcade game Samurai Shodown? Galford had a husky that was a companion. In His special move he would point and the dog would charge the opponent...  I'm thinking of a move that could be similar, give the familiar a special attack with a chance to stun as a Melee option or maybe even Ranged! 

 

 

Idea: Be able to change our familiars at a certain levels? I'm thinking of being able to conjure up something different at the higher levels. 1 point into a different tree of the Talent Tree. Maybe even be able to put a point into each and be able to choose which to conjure. How about a gorilla, phoenix, gryph, or even a swarm of insects? Just ideas here. I personally want a giant, black, irritated, not at all happy rhino that will plow my enemies into the ground!!!  :lol:

 

Seriously, an insect swarm would be very interesting. There are already the insects in the Barens Map. Maybe shrink them a bit and strap lasers to their bodies?? :huh: Or they could just sting and confuse the enemy. 

 

Maybe a rideable Dragon that can can be character specific? Say, only the prophet can summon one, it fights for the Prophet, but the Prophet can also use it to transport just like the current Dragon Bus System. Just ideas to kick around.

I make my post in points so everyone can put some rage on each point ;) or creatively comment on another solution.

 

First stage community:

 

1. Guild and guild house. It will unite the people and certainly bring old players. In addition suggests the possibility of expanding the guild house by using gathering materials.

2. Weekly mini active events, best if u need whole party for them or some ressorces to bring profit to hard working crafters :)

3. Forum events with small reward system.

4. Daily login bonus with random bufs like killing exp, gathering or simple gold coin. Duration of this buf shuld be based on character level(lower lvl bigger bonus).

5. Mentor system to help low lvl player's and hold them in game ;)

 

Economy ( here i don't have much knowledge but...)

 

1. Remove npc what sell ressorces or rise or raise the current price.

2. Remove potions from shop or rise or raise the current price.

3. balanced gathering exp in some proffesions

4. Random craft bonus for items should keep busy crafters too.

5. The speed in making gold is too fast, we need something that will stop inflation and reduce our gold resources at higher levels, this problem should not touch the players below level 35. with my skills and gear i have i can make 150-200G per H with drop potion. So I propose remove drop potions, or reducing the values of green items in lvl range 30-40+.

Combat 

 

1. 1 vs 1 arena system. After teleport to arena its should remove all bufs// blessing player got. Fight to 3 wins, also we should put rating board.

2. (hotfix)  balanced combat, length. Put some pvp resistance.

3. Good daily quests at Trapper's Atoll ( open pvp map ) to give some open pvp fun for us ] : >

i got plenty more ideas but need to put my minds together, and w8 for lvl 45 cup ] : >

 

Others

1. Wardrobe for vanity items 

2. Anti-bot verifications

3. Pet ability to pick up items

1. Housing: I love decorating. I love collecting. Put those hands together! :D

 

2. Easter eggs (the OTHER kind): Not pop culture references , I mean like the real easter eggs. Objects in the world that are hidden and take a keen eye to spot. Things that can be opened/collected.  Be it treasure chests with loot, archaeology type system,  glowing shiny spots on the ground (that give you an item for a set), or just card collections.  I love hunting for collections and goodies, it really livens up the game world.

 

3. Rare monsters. I love the hunt.

 

4. Hired adventurers. NPCs you can hire to fill out your group for dungeons, that take a cut of the loot. 

 

5.More  novelty vanity heads in the shop. Lets see some more fantasy creatures and animal heads! This will part me with my $$ and is my biggest weakness.  I love crazy heads. Also I love picking up the recruit and champion packs in the store for random goodies, but it would be great to see a full list of everything you can get out of it somewhere on the official website. :)

2. Ctrl + Left click for stash and vault

3. GPU support

4. WASD movement

5. Free camera (Not possible for me without GPU support first)

this would devalue the effort,time and minimal strategy needed to beat the dungeons as well as the high population speeding for sets. -1 sorry :(

and no offense towards either of you,but do you attempt to find groups or just sit in que? i play on the least populated server and we have 1-2 groups running to3/tr at times. maybe if you're on at a good time we could run you through don't think it would be a issue.

I would rather like that everyone that joins PvP has a NEW fully customize-able talent tree and attribute page with the skill points of that of the max level cap, and has all of the skills unlocked to put on their skill bar which solves pay 2 win aspects of pvp and with this new setup you can make different builds for PvP and trying out what works best.I would also like the ability to have free re-specs for these PvP builds in order for teams to adjust their builds in different ways without affecting PvE.

Vanity items.. some players love them, some players do not give a monkey's  :D

 

For anyone that enjoy's collecting vanity items and sets, storage of these items becomes a problem.

 

Suggestion is for a new Hub in Eldevin City... Wardrobe/Closet.

 

In this Hub we can store our vanity sets and items.

 

All items that can be stored here, would have to be bound (equipped already)... this would keep the Hub as our personal "fashion" space for vanity stuff and not as a storage place for merchants.

 

I would suggest an inventory space enough to store a complete set, as our starting point.

EXTRA pages of vanity inventory should have an Eldevin Point cost of say 100 Eldevin Points (maximum of 10 spaces?)

 

That is all I have for now, but I think this would be a fun addition for vanity collectors. :P

Please Ban potions being used in pvp... There is a difference between a 800 health potion and 1 that heals 3000 and its really unbalanced it is just a minor easy fix suggestion.

I had an idea for programming a script to make a signature generator but i have no programming skills, however I do for graphics, anyway...  This might not be too difficult for the awesome Eldevin Devs. 

 

Here is a prototype sample of a signature I have in mind. The numbers in the signature below are just for example reason not actual.

The above signature image is 647 x 64 pixels 96 dpi. It displays the character name, server last visited and on the right their level, stats, the character class. I didn't include the gathering skills just the professions. On the left a character window with gender and Eldevin logo. Have a option of uploading your own image into the character window or using a pre-rendered class picture or if possible a server generated image of the players current character.

 

Of course you would have to log into the website to generate this signature, class, stats, level, profession levels would be pulled from the server. Have an option of changing the background colours, border, etc. So after you enter your info and have a signature image generated that you can insert into your forum signature. I don't know how this would affect the server if the stats would be updated in the signature as the player levels their character, once a day update maybe and the link to the PNG image would be re-genarated with new stats. 

 

What do you think?
