To answer your question Egami, yes I actually believe adding back some challenges to the game (in everything, not just levelling) will make more people WANT to play.

 

You get no sense of achievement without a challenge to overcome.

 

Sense of achievement = Happy players.

Hopefully you had Last Ditch on so there was a chance to earn the devil's favor.. Force shield too..

Could always try to get some Armor with your Defense to hopefully have some other buffs/enhancements kick in if your Defense fails so your Armor/HP might still be enough to keep you alive.. Unless you can get enough of both Armor and Defense so you aren't relying on activations but more on pure stats from buffs

If you are trying not to lose, relying on one defensive stat is too risky

Agree with Pardoux here. I too miss the time when the game was actually a challenge, when finding setups for different things required ingenuity and craft and not just overpowered legendary sets along with overpowered epic potions.

I think that's what hooked me in the first place? Math is fun, and it used to involve calculations and theorycrafting to find out the best setup for hunting or PvP.

As of this moment, I think only a tiny fraction of common/unique/rare items are actually used in the game, the redundancy is shocking. 

Don't really see it happening, since things have been the same for years, but just my 2 cents.

I have had several of our new players complain about getting hit on the Ladder. I ask them  "Then why are you on the Ladder?" Their reply is What do you mean? Isn't everybody on the Ladder? How do I get off of the Ladder? It is terrable getting hit all the time. It makes me want to just quit this game.

There are 249 players on the bottom Ladder band. I have sent messages to several of them asking if they want to be on the Ladder or do they know how to get OFF the Ladder. Most of these players are not even active in the game anymore & the ones that are active are SO GRATEFULL when I tell them how to get off the Ladder. 

I think this is a big problem with the game & it is chasing away a lot of players who are just getting started playing.

I think this needs to be changed so that new players have to check the Opt In box rather than having to UNCHECK the Op In box. This is just stupid & makes no sense to me.

There is no upside for HCS to do this. What they will get is people complaining about various things:
1. Why isn't xxx on the list?
2. They are not meeting the target dates!
3. yyy idea is stupid
4. Zzz should be changed
5. Why isn't HCS responding to my comments about suggestion aaa!?
6. HCS's direction is wrong

7. only hoof's opinions matter

8. Etc

What is the upside for them to do this?

This whole attitude about epics that the cows and players grew overtime that everyone should be able to have epics is just absurd.

 

Actually, the whole point was these would be available to every Guild who put the effort in. They are not about a few Guilds dominating for profit.

Auto opt in with a russian roulette aspect is not a good thing for any player that has no interest in PvP.

 

So many threads pushing different tweeks to the same thing also gets old.

 

I'm sure the admin will bend, fold, spindle and twist a few more times before they find something that works for those that PvP and as long as I'm not auto opted in and I have no chance of being spun up with target on me I didn't ask for, I wish you happiness and good gaming.

You'd also have to factor in LUP and the fact that lvl 2800 players will have a lot more than say a lvl 1000 player, which in turn leads to better results from base stat enhancing skills.

 

I'm not really sure what to make of all of the other aspects if I'm honest but this little point really stuck out almost straight away.

Well I am not wearing any guild epics. 

I disagree, largest problem with FS is stamina gain. epics just bump you up a little. In my opinion it should have been bumped up a long time ago. Times have changed and there are far to many free games to play that don't have limiting factors like FS has. In my opinion COWS need to evolve. 

 

THINGS THAT COWS SHOULD DO NOW NOT LATTER LIKE ALL THE OTHER COMPANIES!

 

First, the epic chests should always be available to buy from the COWS.

Second, the 20% bonus plus chest should still  happen randomly.

Third, there should be bound and unbound Epics available for purchase from the COWS always

Forth , XP events 1.05xp though 1.25xp bonus should happen more often or be available for purchase from the COWS

I voted against changing. Otherwise you are right, I would guild hop with abandon. I think OP's intention is good but because of how composing works, this would be very bad for the game. there has to be a penalty for leaving your guild

     I don't doubt EpicPiety's math, (even if it did make my head ache...) but my version is a bit simpler, to whit:  Swing weapon, kill zombie.  Check kill total, is it equal to or greater then  6000?  If no, swing weapon, kill zombie, etc.

 

     Worked for me  :D

Competition mainly is more likely to happen when all the people involved have an good reason to try harder.... without an good reason chance to competition happen is low and on this case [when it happen] it mainly "get its strength" on the person's self will to keep up.

There are 12 LE sets across the ranges.

 

ideally wed need one at about lvl 25 and then another at every 150 to 250 levels in gap.

 

each tier unlocked would grant a chest containing 5 random parts of any of the sets.

 

you would not get the same item twice in a single chest opened.

 

so a max of 25 items from a possible 5 chests if ruby was unlocked and you qualified for ruby.

 

people with lower back packs could open one until they traded or composed their 5 items at a time or kept what they want etc, then open another chest.

 

the given chests would be bound and stackable so one slot is taken up, the LE items would obviously be unbound so people could get or sell what they need, this would also allow for some rarity, some people may not get the set they want, it is possible, this allows for some gear to hold value and the global WOULD return im sure, id say most would get a set in likely hood though it isnt 100%, once trading of course.

 

gives everyone equal opportunity for sales without a major flooding of a farmed LE.

Rather be in a new world, starting at level one.. Alpha testing for the new map had it.. And it would be an excellent chance to let all beta players experience the start of the game.. Great opportunity to give feedback and suggestions for new players..

Would that be possible Hoof???

Agree with "test" characters...Just like new accounts are (guest#######) make it (test#######)...don't let make the ability to create a unique name either...When the beta period is over it will be simple to trash all those accounts. Give them good enough upgrades to test and disable them from interacting with other players...Make pvp hits either a (Test####) exclusive or suffer no xp/gold/durability loss to normal players. When they hit a titan it doesn't decrease hp but still counts for them to see how they are doing. Gvg no durability loss and no win:loss suffer...Potentially have the accounts start at level 2500 or even 3000 with infinite stamina...or 100k with increased regeneration.

 

Why you ask? I don't want to beta test a potentially risky platform that could potentially mess up my character/waste my items/delete things/remove me from my guild/waste stamina so on and so forth... Idk if its just me but i think everyone will be on the same page here. Would be easier than getting flooded with tickets when something goes wrong and having to fix the issues 1 by 1 or even worse not be able to fix it.
