The game is expensive IF you want to continually upgrade your character and advance rapidly (and, even then, this isn't always the case - there are examples of players at EOC who are proud of never having donated once).

 

There are ways to earn in-game currency in-game - donating is just one of them. Farming, Inventing, Titan Hunting, Potion Making to name but a few. OK, these are, for the most part, less lucrative than they used to be, but obviously they are still viable, or people wouldn't do those activities.

 

I'm 100% behind trying to figure out how to increase player retention - I just don't think that giving them stuff on a plate is the way to do it. From my perspective, I'd like to see the game get HARDER again - when I first started playing, you had to work out what gear to wear for EACH LEVEL - now, you can wear gear for hundreds of levels without a 2nd thought.

 

The quests now are exceedingly boring rinse/repeat variety (I accept that's partially down to the increased demands for content ..) - there need to be more quest arcs and (yes, I've said this many times before) quests with consequences where you have to chose "path A" or "path B" and that affects the reward given (at the simplest level) up to future quest arcs (at the most complicated)

 

Clean up the game, remove scripting, sort out the lag once and for all, fix PvP / Ladder ... yada yada yada

 

All of these things will have, IMO, more chance of player retention than simply the cows giving more and more away and thus earning less and less ...

Sorry if my low english skills confused you, but I mean 1 Container for Ruby and 1 more for Top 100, and for lower tiers, less upgrades.

And I've separeted the Container in stashs because you should be able to CHOOSE JUST ONE of the upgrades, OR give 200 FSPs of Upgrades that should be spend right away, the "Phantom FSP" I said, players will be able to buy 200FSPs worth of upgrades, but without the real FSP on hand, just it...

Or the Container which you choose ONE of the upgrades, or the 200 Phantom FSPs that allow you to upgrade as you will...That is NOT game breaking at all.

 

Chosing one from the list is better, but I still think it's a lot - but, that's not for me to decide, it's for the cows. I VERY much doubt they'll just give players 200 / 400 fsp as a reward - and, personally, I doubt they'll offer this extent of upgrades (because players, being players, will want more next time and more the time after that).

 

I think that the "free upgrades" from global events is a can of worms best left unopened - lest it spiral out of control rapidly

I would love to see a Global Event which gives a Container with 5 Stashs:
1 - +1000 Max Stamina.
2 - +8 Stamina Gain UPGRADES (not going further than 25 upgrades, as now).
3 - +13 BP Space.
4 - +10 AH Slots
5 - +14 XP Gain UPGRADES.

Of course, not more than 2 containers for Ruby Tier, maybe even just one and one more for Top 100, but that will give so much tools for players to work with. 

Or maybe just find a way to create a 200 Phantom FSPs as reward, that'll need to be spend on Upgrades once you got then.

You don't want much, do you .... 2 (3 for top 100) containers (for Ruby) both giving approx 1000 fsp worth of upgrades ???

+1K Max Stamina = 200 fsp
+13 Bp Slots = 195 fsp

+10 AH Slots = 200 fsp

+8 Stamina Upgrades = 200 fsp

+14 XP Gain Upgrades = 210 fsp

 

If you want that amount of upgrades, PAY for 'em ...

Why on earth would the cows give away that amount of lost revenue ? - they're a business ffs, without income, they cease to exist..

On the other end of sadness is an epic for sale for 2000FSP( or approx $300 US dollars)  ..lets get rid of those while we are at it.14099.gif

Only one of them in the world...  It also costs $300 (or 2000FSP). 

How much is it worth to me ....$0! 

Supply and demand works.. leave the markets alone..  and that is all ..=)

 

 

Those boots are only worth 2K fsp if someone is silly enough to pay that for them :)

Just a heads up

 

Every time i log in, I have to retick in preferences> fsh settings > Move Online Allies List, Move FS box and Hide Helper Menu. When I log out, its like its not saved, or only saves changes for the current session.

 

Manage backpack still wont move items folder to folder either

 

Thanks for the work with it all

 

Yeah, it doesn't save any preferences for me either - 'tis fine for the session (however long that lasts) but then it's gone and has to be reinput.

I would have thought that since it was a quest involving a Legendary, the "intended" timeframe was for a special event when the involved Legendaries were roaming, much as we have Quangos, Halloween, Xmas, etc. special event quests. These [Plague/Ursa] quests are now nothing more than normal quests, since the specialness has been removed.

 

By that logic, Seal of Fire shouldn't have been out all the time either then ?

 

There was an discrepancy between Seal of Fire and Plague / Ursa - resolving that left 2 choices ..

 

1. Make them ALL unavailable other than random events

 

or

 

2. Make them ALL available at all times.

Either way is/was fine by me, as long as the discrepancy was removed :)

The Santork beasties will be the same but new recipes will be released for you to create two new sets. New recipes, new cracker, new Baubles. 

 

Just hope that the new recipes don't involve getting regular stuff, then having to use them to invent upgraded versions, then use those to create icy / firey santork and then use those to make noxious / earthen and then use THOSE to make the new stuff.

 

That process is WAY too convoluted and only those with massive BP's can take advantage of it, due to the sheer number of stages / invents involved....

INFORMATION:

 

Unable to join as 2 of your guild have already entered in the tournament.

 

(A maximum of 25% rounding up of the total participants may be in the same guild).

 

 

As much as I understand this, would there be a way to tell me this before I put on all of the gear for that tournament? It's just annoying when this is the case for most tournaments I enter.

 

Also regarding this, since the arena is almost dead for most level ranges, would it be fair to increase this to 50% or maybe even get rid of it? I'm sure the original implementation was to prevent valuable items such as the fire stone of bothild, boar tusks, etc. from being won by abusing the system by getting multiple guild mates to join the same tournament as soon as it was created. However since this is not the case anymore and arena tokens don't have a very large value, I think it would be fair to remove this, and it would probably help to speed up the rotation of tournaments.

 

Arena tokens do still have value - just not as much (anywhere near as much) as the items themselves used to have. 

 

I'm pretty sure that if the restriction were removed, then it would rapidly start being abused again ..

 

Maybe, as you suggest, some sort of indicator about who's already in the tournament (now that combat order is randomised - hopefully that's still the case) would help in this situation ?

in part got to agree with Rebornjedi,  games been going  7+ years now ( which in itself is outstanding for an internet product) and I have been playing for most of that , so much game related stuff being ignored in favor of frivolous suggestions that surface in world chat!!!!. last new buffs appeared at level 1600,,  an epic quest  has been in the cathedral of ways for two years and not finished , I find it hard to understand why , All this is contributing to a slow death ,,,  Wee :(

 

I'd have to agree with you there Wee. I know stuff is getting done - and it's nice to see that stuff is getting done, but cosmetic stuff does NOT mean the game is any better. Bug fixes, completion of items 1/2 finished, development roadmap, integration of the FSH etc etc etc - all of these things should be taking priority over something like a 5 min stam tick replacing a 60 min stam tick.

 

I love this game, and I try to remain positive about its future, but I sometimes wonder if the cows are as "emotionally invested" in it as some of us long-term players. I know it's their main source of income (well, I assume it is ....) but it needs to stop being seen as just an ATM and more like something they're proud of and want to see survive and flourish.

Jeez, I can't believe the amount of whining here - lighten up folk ... It's XMAS for the cows too ya know ?

 

Players wanted the eggs unbound - I suggested they stay bound - they became unbound

 

Now players are complaining that they became unbound so close to the end of the event ..

 

How can the cows EVER win ??

i personally liked the first way they did the medal announcements.. hope they eventually come back to this feature to make it better.. this couple month lag behind is a joke at this point

 

Would have to agree there - announcing medals months after the event is kinda pointless. Just turn off the announcement until the process is fixed properly (i.e. it doesn't cause a lag spike when announcing too many) ...

 

Does anyone even care about Joe Bloggs getting a medal anyway ??

Dear HCS/FS  game engineers ..been said before .. 

Doesnt matter what size guild you are in eventually hiring high level mercenaries will be necessary. I being in a smaller guild rely on mercenaries more often as groups are smaller in nature. I have been attempting to kill a level 1600  SE to complete a quest ..And at the moment there are 89 mercs available. Ive spent the last 24 hours trying to kill this blastard  and the best merc I have come across is level 900. We really need to add some new HIGH LEVEL mercs .. and do away with these worthless low levels. I am wasting the guilds gold hiring and firing mercs. At the very least PLEASE group the mercs by level so we know if it is  even worth our time to search and sink. Sinking the guilds gold unnecessarily sifting through a random unhelpful menu of level 45 to level 300 mercs SUCKS!

I know the very quest you mean - and the best way of killing these super elites is to lock your XP and solo them - trust me, I found that out the hard way :). Mercs prevent the really useful buffs like CA helping you and there aren't really any mercs that compensate for that ...
