#864727 Suggestions regarding XP Gain. (Has been diverted slightly into Accelerated l...

I agree with you Gutie, xp gain needs to be changed up a bit to get players into midlevel range. Main reason is to get those players hooked onto the game. Up to 500 could change but I think it is a good number. Players get their 175 buffs so they will feel accomplished to have gotten the highest level of that.

#864627 PvP Prestige - New buffs and more.

PvP Prestige is a great way to bring levelers into the PvP, since we all like 10% XP Bonus during big hunts. So I'm thinking on a way to explore that aspect of the game a little more.
Problems we have on the actual PvP Prestige system:
- The 'All or nothing' system.
I know some players with 60.000+ of PvP Prestige, and they are not going to burn that Prestige into a 10% XP bonus for 2 obvious reasons: That bring respect to the player, and because they almost never level up.
- Only 1 buff to choose.
PvPers don't as much as leveler do, so they don't really need that XP bonus, will be very more usefull if they can use this on other buffs.
And some ideas I had.
1 - New PvP Prestige buffs.
Add a 'PvP Prestige tab' into the Actions, or in the other part of the Attack Player screen, where you can choose between 10 buffs, and for each buff you choose the duration for it, and that show you how much PvP Prestige the buff will cost, for example:
Leveling - 10% XP Bonus (187 minutes) - 1.131 PvP Prestige.
Gold hits - 10-30% bonus on gold stole on Normal Attacks (X minutes) - X Prestige.
Titan hunting - 10-30% less stamina usage on world map moves. (X minutes) - X Prestige.
Composing - 10-30% more XP for each potion composed (X minutes) - X Prestige.
Damage - 20% bonus damage
Attack - 20% bonus attack
Defense - 20% bonus Defense
Armor - 20% bonus Armor
HP - 50% bonus HP
Of course we will need to talk about formulas and a lot of numbers, but that is just the start of an idea, but I believe that can bring a LOT of new people into PvP.
(Of course "Prestige hits" must stay bountyable, so BB can come back to life, maybe)
What you all think about it?

What Belaric, and others like him, dislikes about the current system imo is that they can't or won't lose xp to defend their guildmates or friends because they feel that they have already lost. They have given up on PvP so they want to change the game. The schism between players who purely level and those that don't has only grown. Where we defer tremendously is how this schism should be filled. When BigGrim mentioned that he wanted to add some quests in the early stages that required people to PvP I thought, it's about time... like a bandaid on a hatchet wound.
Why isn't/wasn't there enough incentive to PvP or BH from the beginning? Why is leveling the only source of skill points and guaranteed gold? PvP has always been a mandatory component of the game, even if you buy XP lock or PvP protection(not until gold was susceptible here) yet it hasn't been given the acknowledgement it deserves. It is not like Arena or Titan hunting, both later additions to the game. Those don't effect everyone. PvP does!
Greater automatic punishment is what Belaric is after whether he wants to call it what it is or not. The current BB is a small amount of automatic punishment, until a bounty expires at least(there's a whole added mini game right there). I'm sorry but players need to learn to PvP. The devs have dropped the ball so long that they need a drastic incentive to fill the huge gap. They were too happy with enough donaters buying stam to clamor up levels as fast as they could as fast as new content could be made. Now here we are at an impasse. Fixing this, everyone will not be pleased, but that's the way life works. If you think this game can survive without PvP conflict, go for it. Good luck. See SS2 as evidence. Further changes that bring players to play both sides of the game is what's required, asap. How to do it is up to Hoof.
#862116 Character Upgrades, random discounts

So are you pushing for upgrades or discounts?
I think you will get more response to this if you go into more detail with it, or at least your stance on it.
I could see gaining either or based off or certain regulations. So lets say you get discount x on your next fsp purchase, or you get x upgrades for a % cheaper as you met a requirement for it.
An example... base it off of activity, like log in x amount of days. Then once you reach said days you get a one time offer for something for being active and supporting the game.
You figure most of these benefits can be 1 time offers, most other games give rewards based off activity or based off doing certain things within the game. I guess you can take the easy route and base it off of the areas in our game. Enter the arena x amount of times, get x amount of titan kills, x amount of successful 100 stam attacks, compose x amount of potions, kill x amount of Super Elites, clear x amount of bounties, win x amount of gvg's.
There are so many things you can incorporate as requirements for the incentives you talk about. I like the idea a bit because all rewards aside this gives people more of a reason to try other areas of the game. I hate to say it but sometimes it takes incentive for someone to even try something whether you think its right or not you have to call it how you see it.
And also you add this to player achievements, i think this and that aspect could go hand and hand. As long as the rewards meet the difficulty for the requirement. I don't want to see say you kill 10 SE and you get 500 max stam, that would be way to generous of a reward.
I hope that is kind of what you are talking about vam, and that i haven't changed and altered your topic or thought.

What about a potion with a decent level vision buff? or maybe they could add a fairly pricey pvp based potion? Idk, just bored and throwing stuff out there....

Would Be Nice.. but i dont see any LlB Poitons coming out there is Potion of Well Read. ( would make that potion usless and that would be another usless item in Arena ) TH and Merch you can get at 200 with Guild RP .. so would be tough to see that one as well.. But Stalker or Overkill.. dont know i guess.. would be nice for something different tho.. guess will have to wait to see what Hoof or BigGrim think.. then go from what they have a vision of seeing in there.
I could see an Overkill 300 pot being useful, but I don't usually run stalker when I hunt (and if I have it I just don't realize it).

I am thinking that if players donate to the game they should have some useful potions to pick from.

To be honest I would like a higher reckoning potion, but I already know certain players will say NO, because they will call that a win. So for me the highest I could see would be a level 250. hopefully it could be distilled, basically a little of 50% chance to activate
