#900779 Game Update v2.51

As for inactives on the leaderboards, i think they have a right to be there.

I get that but my personal opinion would be to stop them displaying. If they become active again, then they would be reinstated. Dunno how hard that'd be to code but that's how I'd like it in an ideal world.

If someone cannot handle a page where you put in numbers then they need to learn or they are just too stupid to play this game anyway.

There is absolutely no call for that, thank you.

Please read the thread. We have stated that if there is more than 10 points, the number boxes reappear.

#900620 Game Update v2.51

If historical data for SE kills isn't available, then the least HCS can do is make an approximation on the number of kills based on medal progress percentage. This way the 'Top 250 Super Elite Kills' and 'SE kills' in the profile page would make sense.

#900493 Game Update v2.51

Posted by Pardoux on 13 November 2014 - 18:41

For the most part, I love this new update - will make things a lot clearer for newer players.

What I don't like tho is the now disparity between SE / Titan hunter medals and the kill counts appearing on personal / guild profiles. These kills ARE logged - how else are medals allocated ? - so to start the top rated listings from scratch is doing a big disservice to those who have earned medals in those areas.

Has this been said already in this tread ? - of course - do I think it's fair ? - no.

Commence the top rated listing with players only active in the last 30 days if you want it to be FAIR and not bloated by inactive players, but disregarding all player effort up to that point kinda makes a mockery of medals earned ..

*gets off soap box*

No worries. :)

We could certainly look at defaulting the attributes / level up page to the version with the boxes to higher level players :) currently it only shows if you have more than 10 points to spend.

#900325 Movement script Warning (Titan Hunt).

Posted by cyrus7 on 13 November 2014 - 12:29

I don't know if that's only with me, but I got that warning like 85% of the time I try to move, and the little soldier stop walking, do some crazy teleports, appears on another location and don't keep going to the place I direct him earlier.

I recently spent many hours soloing Statue of Gurgriss' Wrath accumulating TKP for a purchase. I do not use FSH or any other third-party script that affects FS, and I too got this message a LOT while walking. My method of walking was to use the "click where you want to go and the game moves you" method. How am I moving too fast if the game is choosing the speed at which I walk? And then of course, it stops you, and/or does the boomerang thing (sometimes requiring a page reload to reset); beyond frustrating.  I'm all for stopping the magic movers, but if the game is picking my speed for me, it shouldn't be telling me I'm walking too fast and stop me in my tracks.

#899949 A letter from your new Game Producer.

There's a lot of talk here about priorities and what we want as a community.  Nobody can dispute this.  A lot needs to be done, and many things that have been shoved to a back burner will have to remain there a little longer.  Everybody acts as if changes should just happen lickety split as soon as they are brought up, but things are just in a discussion stage here at best.  Let out new (old) guy here get back into the swing of things before we jump the gun and make demands.  I know we want composing fixed... I'd like to see what's next in Present Darkness, too, but neither are as important to me as seeing what changes will be made to PvP and the Bounty Board, whether the EOC players will ever get their portal (walking 50+ levels has got to be brutal, not to mention being a stam leak from Hades.) The things mentioned here so far barely scratch the surface.

One thing I might suggest... There are current threads concerning most of the major issues we have.  Mr Mohawk/Radneto here has already said he would be reviewing such threads.  Post your views, ideas and concerns in these specific threads, rather than, here, so it's easier for him to digest....  And by all means, lets get more people back to the forum.  Tell your friends and your friends' friends to come weigh in too... This is how the cows can know what we need and what we want....  It's not rocket science, folks :)

I don't agree that composing should, automatically, become a priority.

There are MANY MANY things that need attention of which composing is just one.

How about, rather than us all demanding that a facet of personal interest be given urgent attention, we just let him re-familiarise himself with the game and then let HIM AND THE TEAM decide what needs doing to each area ?

#899131 some sort of idea kinda gotta work it out however

Posted by yotwehc on 08 November 2014 - 23:47

it would indeed take a long time but with radneto also on the team and the steam launch i have good hopes that stuff will get done pretty soon ^^

Poor HCS... everyone will be coming up with the best idea since sliced bread and asking to implement these new complicated systems.

I would prefer we take a step back, look at how we can GET and KEEP new players into the game instead of investing a lot of development into a new shiny toy for existing players.

My 2 cents.

#898845 New Global Event Idea

Posted by BadPenny on 07 November 2014 - 21:37

I like global events, I think they are fun, but they utilize a lot of stam.   Everything we do costs stam. .  More globals means I need more stam and have less to use on day to day play.  Something like this would have to be very very infrequent in order for the general public to have extra stam for it...

#887209 New Global Event Idea

Posted by BraveKath on 24 August 2014 - 05:16

This doesn't work for those of us who are not at EOC and are leveling in Composing. More events = more activity. If I don't want to participate in an event; for example, cave events -- I have no luck in the caves, thus I don't participate. No skin off my nose.

To me this is the every little Johnny & Janie has to have a gift when they go to a birthday party nowadays mentality.

I don't want to chose between Frags and Epic potions and get less of both. I'd rather use more stam and get more of both.

#898404 Confirm! Confirm! Confirm!

Posted by BigGrim on 06 November 2014 - 10:27

Confirmations are annoying, but necessary I guess.

I do wish that the global event chests only contained the highest form we earned however.

Including the lower tiers is both pointless and dangerous. (to those who struggle with mis-clicks)

It's like this for the simple reason that lower level players may not get the best use of the highest level potions due to their Stam Bank but who still wish to contribute to Ruby and beyond.
