#917498 Could we have a better notification that our composing pots are ready?

Posted by cyrus7 on 30 January 2015 - 07:27

Since we are talking about a new Info Box, I would like to see separated box for News Update and Tavern Rumours, keeping both together just don't make any sense.

I like this too. "News Update" notifications for titans appearing/dying are a bit annoying.  "Oh there's news! Oh, it's just a titan."

I think the log system notification should be bypassed altogether.

Why not add a proper box link to the left hand sidebar like we get when we have items in our mailbox?

Could have it linked directly to the composing page instead of collect/discard, since from the page it's only one click or the other to do what we want.

This thread is not needed I think.

Inv and inv2 mega potions are going to ensure that any future invented item doesn't not have the rarity/value that it was perhaps intended to have.

Personally I am of the opinion that Grim should just bite the bullet and nerf those ridiculous omacaz potions down to the 300 mark or so. Sure people might complain, but in the end it WOULD be for the good of the game overall.

actually a discard link in the mail that then goes to the page would be better i am a low level composer too i dont want a back pack full of junk pots i am making for xp so anything to cut down the clicks is good

#917190 Possible Loyalty Potions?

Posted by BigGrim on 27 January 2015 - 16:54

Maybe a couple of new things should be added to the mix there as well.

Indeed, though I think my general desire is to get a few potions of existing buffs into a few places but get a whole slew of brand new buffs created as well. I have about 7 pages worth of buffs ready for Hoofmaster, Radneto and I to look over. My ultimate hope is to have a bunch of new skill tree buffs and the rest for potions that I can add to all aspects of the game with each aspect having it's own exclusives.

#917083 Possible Loyalty Potions?

BTW, if some of these seem more like an invention potions (y'know, Cerulean Rose, Goobernoob Bird bits) feel free to say so. It's been a very, very long time since any new inventable potions were added to the game. Another of the things I'd like to update.

#916955 Rather than new skills why not make current buffs more powerful, or both?

Posted by sweetlou on 25 January 2015 - 17:21

At one time it was continually repeated by everyone, players and devs, that there were steadfast 'rules' that said x would never happen, it was part of the game. There's even a pinned thread stating so Frequent Suggestions [Before posting a new idea, read here!]. PvP protection completely changed that notion. Since then the game has spiraled into directions previously unthinkable. The devs essentially lost their credibility. So why not add bigger character skills than 175? We already have potions being introduced that are much stronger than any skill could be cast. One good point made is that it would make the devs job that much easier to have to come up with one less skill. That alone should make them consider this idea. I wouldn't be surprised if this happened, so I voted yes!

Once you reach level 1800+ ( just an example) why not boost a few of the current 175 max skills/buffs  to level 200 max.

( more skill points , currently 150 make some 175)  ... and then at level 2000 add some more ...and so on!

Or maybe both ..new skills and more power =)

This could really benefit the "totally awesome" long term players and EOC'ers  who have leveled with a little extra muscle. Those who have done the time and maybe want to flex their muscles  and profit a bit by selling buffs etc.

PS

Im not sure if this has been suggested before.Im not sure anyone will like this idea.

Also this isnt going to benefit me at all at the moment, being  the level I am, unless I buy them at the buff market..and i would buy them=) ... just an idea.

Have a slight thought that even though its domain wide, it may not be there fault? Knowing a tiny bit of how CloudFare works, it could be them thats causing the issues.  But, thats my thought anyway

#916875 Possible Loyalty Potions?

No for Merchant and Treasure Hunter. Too much gold in the game as is.

You must not have been around much lately, take a look at the MP. Since Composing sucks up a huge amount of gold and regular gold sucking events like LE caves the MP has seen some of its consistently lowest levels in a long time.

Still didn't increase value of most LE items ...they are going for 1 fsps or less

Original idea meant to sink higher tier items to make them valued and worth farming in LE events not just bring new powerful potions to the game.(same goes to the SE items)

Whatever i think its late to do any change we got used to this

The reason that the LE drops are still worthless is, during the events, they rain down from the critters like a monsoon deluge. Even new critters lose all value in very short order 'cos the drop rate is too high. If LE items are meant to retain value, then the drops need to be harder to come by.

#916831 (Another) Titan Idea

Posted by Gutie on 24 January 2015 - 17:08

No titan hunter would support LOSING TKP. I oppose that premise entirely. Now if it merely added HP like this to where the 2nd place guild could walk in and finish it off to get more TKP thus snagging a 1st/Secure, then I think this could be a good idea.

Causing people to lose TKP for no fault of their own, but rather other guilds being to lazy/indifferent to getting TKP rather than a straight up epic I think is a bad idea. Although I like the idea in principle of causign another fight for the titan, I don't think the idea of taking away a guild's TKP is fair, especially smaller guilds and lower level players/guilds who stand more to lose and thus use a larger share of their own stamina to ensure a secure. Larger guilds such as my own can easily sustain this method as can other guilds. If the idea is to encourage more titan hunting however this is counterproductive for getting more people involved.

What this mainly might result in is getting more secures for the stronger titan hunting guilds as we have a larger pool of stamina and resources to draw from and ensure we have to compete against each other less often as we have the stamina and people to put ourselves over that new threshold of ensuring secures.

I like the idea in terms of the concept. But the outcome will be simply a larger share of the secures going to guilds at the top of the field, and also add more time to the time it takes to secure a titan for certainty as well as for smaller guilds see the certainty of a secure possibly spoiled by having themselves have to persist in ensuring kills are gotten over a 38 hour period because they merely got 52-55% of the kills.

Maybe a counter proposal of "bleeding/staving" instead of healing? If you've been bled out and are more than half dead.... you're losing blood, even a titan has it's limits. It's dying. It is weak. It is no longer strong enough to hunt it's own food in a great enough quantity to sustain itself and is also bleeding out. It will LOSE HP after a status check is performed.

An IF, then clause coded in would do the following.

If titan HP is less than 50%, and after hourly ticks for 6-12 hours it starts losing HP 1% per hour until it dies.

I apologize for coming across as bashing the idea. My mindset these days is more in a trying to see things from a newer player with less upgrades to suggest ways to make the game more fun/accessible for them. I genuinely see this being contrary to that objective.
