nicer, but start +/- 20 somewhere from 600-700.

 

I'm intrigued why PvP bands thousands of levels above you are of such concern ?

Increasing available targets for some bands is almost essential, but if you take it TOO far, then you start risking non-pvping-player activity.

I'm happy with the suggestion that Arztik made ..

I just had another thought towards the map shops. There could be high-priced but relevant potions made available. Instant stamina, but consuming reduces the armor by x amount.

  You can already buy all the instant stamina you want in the Upgrades area.

EOC stands for End Of Content.  Currently, the last level of content is 4800 so players at 4800 or above are at EOC, not anything below that.  Sorry I have to spell it out but it seems you don't understand this most basic of concepts.

Today we have our next 'Double Composing XP' event!
 
For the next 48 hours, until 14:00 server time on the 18th of July, XP gained from making Composing Potions shall be doubled, so get those potions brewing!

Additionally, remember the Double XP event will be starting on Friday the 23rd of July at 14:00 hours (Server Time) and will be running for 96 hours. We're also going to be increasing the server capacity to cope with the extra demand during this time to ensure the game runs as smoothly as possible during the event.

Hi Arioche!

We need to make more progress on this front. While buffs that were capped to 175 are helping, they are fairly negligible (details below) in the overall picture of PVP. You may have noticed there are many seasoned players who have contributed with ideas for the game in the last month, however, it still feels like a one sided conversation. How are the cows looking into PVP? Same for the Super-Elites, Legendaries, new events, relics, etc? Is there a reason for all the secrecy or can you show your hand a little?

Thanks for your thoughts regarding the buffs we had adjusted slightly. As I believe I said before, we want to be careful with this as we understand big changes can be quite scary, but we are also willing to give things a try  :) We do plan on doing further skill adjustments and we encourage everyone to give us their thoughts regarding them. Tilley's thread has been a boon of information.

 

As for everything else, we are actually planning to put together a little roadmap to show the players. In addition to that, I am still very much for setting up specific threads for each area of the game for more focused feedback. I understand waiting can be a bit frustrating, but I hope you can bear with us!

the value of "op" buffs to levellers seems great. can one have no cap for pve while having a cap for pvp from the same buff? if so, which buff? what cap?

Terrorize, Flinch, Dark Curse and Dispel curse. In the PVP world they need a cap. Dispel Curse + Flinch combo is disgusting. I've fought people with the highest level flinch and Dispel Curse and they had epics on while I had the BIS PVP set and I still lost miserably. Terrorize + Entrench makes enhancements useless so even Piercing Strike wouldn't make much difference.

 

My solution to flinch and terrorize is having them lose 5-10% of their effect for each round of the combat so there are no unresolved battles.

 

Dark Curse and Dispel Curse I think the only option is to reduce it from 0.2% per point to 0.1% and see where it goes from there.

 

These are my ideas and anyone is free to add theirs if they got better ideas. I don't think these buffs can be removed since some are paid for but they can be tweaked.

bro, what good is 1 little step every year from 100 steps until fixing complete?

you knowing it will taking them many years for fixing what in other games fixing on same day or if very big update on same week

say truth, you really wanting waiting until app is finished? 

if you wanting saying hcs start fixing game after you finishing app that finishing after 10, 20, 30 years, you can waiting 10, 20, 30 years? that not normal

 

if wanting fixing somethings then fixing it for good, not 1 step from 100 step that taking many years

Yep, however you cannot force them to take more steps than they are willing. Take what they are giving or take nothing at all. I'll take what they are giving.

I knowing players saying it very boring and easy predicting what hcs will doing next but this time I on hcs side, you can not knowing what chest offer they will giving, I think you will seeing it too

truth?
i. saying we need gear sink while decrying composing is a contradiction.
ii. saying composing brings too op pots to game while trying to bring back events the rewards are op pots is a contradiction.
iii. saying slow app development is problem while many players use the app including new players is a gross overstatement.

if composing, app, and ladder are the problems as been stated in this thread, then the problem is with those who introduce these "abominations," i.e. the players.

the players:
wanted composing.
wanted the app.
proposed the "new" pvp ladder system.
but the players are somehow not responsible? how convenient.

in my language, a falsehood is a falsehood. pls, don't call it truth.

I hate to say this, but I think the biggest problem with FS is....us.

 

After so many years playing a small game with a single server what we'd expect? 

The game is threatining for new players, within the years a lot of us have aquired tons of upgrades, thousands of levels, a deep knowledge about the game mechanics, hoarded thousands of items, etc...If I found FS today, doesn't matter how much I liked the game, it'd be VERY unlikely for me to dedicate any time/money to it considering how late I'd be arriving at the party, and it isn't an easy problem to solve.

That's what makes me confused about the app, who is it even for?
Is HCS planning to do a huge market campaing to promote the game after it's completed?
If so, how to work around that problem? Create a new server? What that would do to this server?

If the idea is not to bring new players to the game with a magic solution, would that time be better spent focusing on other aspects of the game?

Without having access to their data and sale numbers it's really hard to say if FS give HCS a reasonable reveneu or if it's just a passion project that they work on the side...I know where my opinions are about that.

4. the "attack" was on app and composing. for "my take" see above.
5. my take: app, cool with cockpit control. composing, a struggle like leveling. pvp and pvp ladder, i'm a leveller. gvg, a necessity for rank and rp. relics can be helpful.
6. at some level, the cows are the game.
7. players are sitting alone in a guild for a reason. "red" guild comments does not hold. my argument still stands.
8. as to HD, it struggled in the past. it struggles today. home is like that.

for many years pre 2020 double xp would been last weekend. idk why everything so delayed now days.

Perhaps it's just to irritate the people that say an event was at this time before therefore it must always be at this time forevermore.

As an arena player for years, this was a very welcome update.  I love the new sets personally, and more than a few of them are very useful in their given ranges and slots.  Its great to see the recipes added to the store for tokens instead of bought for gold like the others.  I really like being able to use arena tokens to fund more arena gear.

 

That being said, my controversial opinion is that its a little rough needing 3 SE pieces per item and only 2 arena items respectively.  Personally I'd rather see arena inventions use more arena tokens to invent.  Really go nuts with rare and difficult extraction components.  The potions are kinda the only token sink right now.  I'd much rather be able to dump 100s of arena tokens into inventing arena sets.  Not a huge deal, as this gives something to work towards and gives value to some SE drops I guess.  It just feels like whoever gets them first might end up dominating certain brackets for a few months until they become more accessible.

I hope that gear slots, stat distribution and level range are things that have some more thinking involved going forward.

They have plenty of thought going into them now mate. Again, with all these things, some may not like em where they are, others do. I cannot please everyone.

Hi there everyone!
 
Today we are releasing 8 new Crystalline sets in the Arena. These are inventible sets using items from the Arena as well as Super Elite drops. The recipes themselves are available from the Arena Rewards page.
 
We look forward to your feedback on these new sets.
 
Note: All items used in these recipes have been removed from the Auction House and returned to their sellers.
 
Additionally, the spread of Arena Tournament has been increased, with more tournaments overall at more level ranges! 
 
The cap on Combat Sets has also been increased to 200.
 
Finally, the following issues have been fixed:
 
  • White page for Top PvP Smasher.
  • Relic Depowerment works correctly.
  • Log History Filter buttons now work correctly.

Other enhancements to existing relics then absolutely, that would be an easy win. Remove the 10% cap on the attributes on them too, that at least would allow guilds to decide what they want at different periods of the game. But you have to be able to ditch unwanted relics, and there has to be more incentive than simply 1 hour on holding, otherwise he/she who sleeps the least wins in the silly tit for that on the hour game. Make it harder to capture, but worthwhile in obtaining.
