Maybe, maybe not, but I, for one, would MUCH rather they fix existing issues rather than start trying (hmmm .. ) to implement new issues ... umm, I mean ... new ideas.

I agree focus on the existing, although it shouldn't stop us from thinking up new ideas.

  Relic taking as a daily isn't feasible.  You need open slots for them to take relics.  Since most guilds only have enough slots for the relics they want to keep all the time, someone has to take their regular relic first, then they could take a relic for a daily, someone has to take that one back, then they take another relic, somebody else takes it back.  Multiply that times whatever is required for the daily.  If even 3 people in a large guild get the same daily (as happens with others), it would be impossible for them to complete it since the actual logistics involved just aren't practical.

Good to hear things are being worked on.

 

As general feedback can we have some things that were working in the browser version fixed first before this splits into threads and workloads skew. Such as filtering in the log. The top smasher list etc. I know the app is a priority, but it's a bit of a roll eyes session when something that used to work now doesn't.

 

With regards to the app, the main bugbear new players seem to have is being dropped in with a name they didn't choose. Could you add a pop up to the next version that tells them the icon bar scrolls and the option to do it is under the cog menu along with a bit about linking their account to an email before they even start the tutorial? I know there is a help forum post about it, but the global chat seems to be where they ask first. They do get answered most of the time, but a few feel a bit silly when it's explained to them, or just go without waiting for an answer.

From the time of creating this thread, what ideas were taken from the 4 pages? Curious if anything would be do-able. Willing to accept any change at this point.

Firstly, I want to thank those that have partaken in the thread despite the frustrations you've all had. I understand some of these things have been present for a few years, and some of them also need careful consideration.
 
Alongside getting the app completed, we've been looking through where we can begin making some changes. I'd like specialist threads to be opened to specific areas of the game, as it'll be much easier to keep things on topic.
 
We began by looking at some of the more powerful buffs in the game and adjusted them slightly. I'm curious how these have been received before we consider what else we can do in that regard. Though I understand some of the issues here are also caused by lack of gear options.
 
We are looking into PvP.
 
We're also looking into Super-Elites and Legendaries, designing new events, relic updates, new inventables, store updates, and other system updates.
 
The FS Team is relatively small, but we are thankful for the feedback you give us. We are also aware of a number of bugs and we can only ask for your patience  :)

relic fight system needs  to have balance , atm it´s impossible to defend even with lead fully buffed up with group more than 30 people , against 1 lvl 1500+ and 2  any lvl group joiners.


Your members had dispell curse level 500 with highest level flinch active and epic gears on. There was no way I could win with full PvP buffs on... Not sure what you're on about.

Reign of terror is a decent counter to Dispel curse 500, so I still don't see the issue with here

I would say just add stamina gain to some low level relics and end of story , no need to make it complicated.

This is more or less what we're intending, as the opening post says, though the idea would be to sprinkle them across all levels throughout. Little point them just existing at earliest and latest levels.

 

The Relic Permission and Abandon requests are long standing and we'll look into seeing if they can be implemented.

I hope accuracy counts. Inactive status starts on profiles at 30 days. If you're not inactive, you are active. It's simple logic! The player is not in some grey area. If this ridiculous standard remains, the inactivity label should be triggered at 1 week. Also, when is taking xp the test on PvP? It's ridiculous. Might as well say you can only be bountied if you lose xp! Again the current standard by which your attack counts for daily quests should be set at what is stated in your profile. If you are active, it should count! PvP protected players are ACTIVE, the attack should count. They lose no xp and they can bounty the attacker. Doesn't this make sense?

EOC players are the pioneers/ explorers of fs. their efforts eventually help levellers that come later. creating EOC means game continues. so, helping EOC players helps fs.

Major content for top players, only content you release is for the top players, how about you release 1 thing that effects the overall game.

 

"only content you release is for the top players" - this line gets trotted out WAY too often ... 

You are Level 660 - thus you have 4200 new levels of content for you to explore. How many more do you want ?

Double XP Composing Events
Double XP Levelling Events
 

and, most other special events....

 

Where else do you think that they're gonna release content ? - in the middle, so we end up with, for instance, Level 700, Level 700a, Level 700b, Level 700c etc

I wish lower level players would just embrace the massive amount of gameplay they have ahead of them ....

A long long time ago I made some suggestions about quest storylines driving content AND having implications for difficulty. I think it would be great to have a Shadowlord related storyline where we pass through lands he has prepared to test us, ("veils of shadow" or some such) with a major servant of his acting as the muscular, or more interestingly thematic, roadblock. I think I once envisaged "Shadow realms" of inverted existing content where some rules of the game do not apply - think a reverse Xinderoth where you work your way from the library down to the city (what cool storylines could be used there!), and have game areas where some buffs have been inactivated by the Shadowlord's power. I suggested the reverse realms when content drought was a big deal.

 

But imagine a crazed Shadow servant of negation, a Xinderoth that passd through a fractured mirror to escape our approach and went insane, but gained the power to negate magic. (This also allows there to be multiple Xinderoths, LOL) To get to him we would have to negotiate areas where Smashing Hammer is negated, areas where Keen edge or dark curse cannot work etc. We have dark realms - why not other realms where the Shadowlord or his minions block our acess to specific magics? More than warriors, the PCs are now all insanely powerful wizards (with 1000s of unused skill points) with access to potions and enhancements that crush standard opposition. Having areas that remove the buff based crutches we have leaned on for years would reintroduce real challenge, perhaps stop the automatic 1 hit approach, and have a storyline where we REALLY want to get to the bam that has caused us all this trouble and wring their neck.

 

For me this is the easiest way to generate a special in game experience - a good story tied to, (and that explains) changes in game mechanics that makes things genuinely challenging for EOC players for the duration of that specific storyline. Once introduced, those kinds of areas could later be replicated as part of future quests or special events. Yes, this might be a coding hassle, but as the team is overhauling the game for the app, it might be a good idea to build in the capacity to alter world areas and disable some buffs in some areas now, so it isn't a PITA later.

 

My 2 pence and 2 cents.
