I took a break once and then again but peek back here to see what may transpire. ofc sadface but also agree with some posts that glad to see some kind of response from the devs.

I will say I have always hoped this game took off and I really do love this game but when I came back after several months again I found I was starting to repeat stuff and not sure what else to do that would make me feel like the game was staying fresh and fun.

That said if it wasn't for me peeps in game to do some dungeons with and talk me into some running around TA ( mostly to run away from you guys haha) and some BF stuff I may have stopped again sooner as while I actually enjoy the game because it gives me the option to actually be able to solo most quests ( thus freeing me up to afk at will and stuff lol) I don't want to play an mmo completely without some group participation activities so I'm glad I found some eldy peeps to do that at times.

anyway long ass post haha... uhm arse~

honestly never understood having a mage class not using a staff as an actual weapon as I"ve not seen that in other games. 

I"ve seen magical classes of sorts that may include other type of weapons but over all mages, spellcasters have actually wands/staffs to use. 

I have both staff and shield/1h though I equip my staff more now since it gives me higher dps then the shield and 1h I have.

I kind of feel like they opted to have the essc be the weapon so they didn't have to create animations for us to actually use the staff but I wish they would change that.   I feel l ike the you don't actually get the feel of using any weapon on mage class as you don't actually see the essc but the spell animation cast from the hand and the staff merely sits on your character only giving you stat increases.

I"d think they got it backwards and should have made the staff the weapon that we actually weild to fight with and the essc is the secondary weapon that gives us the stats but the staff would be what we see in game using the animations from the various spells.

if a mage uses a shield and 1h, those weapons just sit there mostly anyway as well so I think we lose the fun of mage animations of our weapons.  if that makes any sense.

my ranger uses her xbow, makes sense as she's an archer so why isn't my mage using her magical staff?

Lately more then ever,  1-2 months maybe 3 I noticed way to many dc's and assorted things that keeps happening.  Game closes suddenly, I"m getting logged out of my account, dc's from game and these are the things that aren't from my isp going poof.  I suspect even sometimes this game may randomly make my net poof while I"m in it.

Please HC, check the servers, reboot, have some 

maintenance on a regular basis ( I guess you do but it's getting to be more then just the occassional on a server that I may expect some lag at times due to where I am and where that server is located.).

I mean I"m in the U.S and I rarely if ever had issues on that serve.  In fact I could basically go on any server and be pretty good but lately US is as bad as OC can be at times and well just all the servers seem to have these wonky issues now no matter our location to them.

please look into this.  and I have no idea why I keep getting logged out, maybe it's some random dc but either way worst is when your in a convo and poof you go or dungeons, now that just is a big nooooo :/ sigh

I"m not sure what if anything went wrong.  first have you clicked on account (top of screen if on front page of site), 

then go to subcriptions which is bottom right where you find different icons, can check orders as well.

see if something shows up there.

as to steam.  if for some reason your HC account did not get connected with your steam account they will be able to correct that.   

when I purchased the packs when they had the sales some months ago I believe I was logged in game so ofc I didn't see it.

I logged out and logged in again.  I think I actually just restarted the game all together and then logged back and then I did receive it.

I don't know if I"m understanding your post but you have to be sure  that you linked your HC with the steam account from the HC website in order for you to recieve items from steam and all that.

hopefully after the weekend if you send or sent a ticket already you will get replies from HC .  good luck 

I know something like Hearty Pelt a rare mat isn't supposed to drop constantly but the drop rate for this seems extreme to me.

I even asked around and some were saying they had 1 drop after 500-700 hides gathered.

I went skinning last night and I still have yet to get even 1 Pelt.   I am close to 700.

Considering the amount of this Rare Pelt we need for the 48 set it just seems extreme to me.

60 pelts.  (think I have to add 10 -15 more for belt, anyway it's a lot)

I know we need to skin a good amount and take some time to accumulate this but at this rate all I will get to do in game is skin for hours and hours and hours and.....ugh :c

there must be a way to make rates of rare mats more reasonable.  I"m sure this applies to other high level rare mats.  I finally got to citrine and I wonder if the rate of the rare citrine is same as hearty pelts but I expect it will be or carnelian and silver.   so generally I"m asking for a tweak here.

I think they would need to add some sort of gold sink thingie (yup I'm so technical here , not~), because it seems like a full AH when implemented would most likely have some kind of fee for using it (hopefully nothing crazy, maybe like 5% of the sold price or something) and even for something like this my guess is you just can't have it 100% free.

also please HC do not consider any EP type of fee for any features of Auction House. should only be in game coin currencies.

still waiting on some bug fix update where they include fixing the  festive horse.  I have the chocobo too ( yup it's a chocobo to me not a chicken! lol) and as far as I can see it isn't bugged.

poor festive horse is just sitting in the stable along with some of my not so used mounts on bliss.  sure the other horsies are making him jelly

When I am on my festive mount I don't lose my head but I do lose my hair and it's just a wee disconcerting, lol.   Please fix, thanks

while I doubt I'll ever make one of those ( no idea what will be for 50 cap) I didn't even realize one had to take out their gems before re-rolls so that's good to know.

hope they replace your gem and that's a frustrating bug for sure o.o.

While mail isn't super essential in the game at the moment it is here now so I'm going to place some suggestions about how to improve it ( if possible, I know nothing about programming and designing games or how browser games may differ if limitations on things like that over client based games).

Some were already mentioned in other posts since mail came out such as sending mail should be silver/gold costs not ep. 

My understanding is recieving mail is free but is regular text mail free?

if we send items it costs ep then?

because when you go to the mail it really doesn't give you any info.

I see cash box and ep box, that's confusing. especially so far I believe I saw some saying ep was taken from them and some said some silver/gold was so really have no idea how that works at the moment.

Does this mean it costs ep for some things and gold for others?

Ok so first of all I noticed you can't draft messages. 

would be nice to have a way to create a message and then save it in case you want to go over something later or send later.  yes I have seen this in other games.

also when you get a message and reply back ( using this as an example as I just tried my first message back to someone that sent me one) you have no indication what this is going to cost you. 

really?  nothing showed up letting me know what it would cost before I send it nor when I sent it what I spent.

before I mail anything I want to know what this will cost me. 

no send message for such and such amount, no cost indicated where you see ep/gold section on left hand lower corner of mail, nothing.

I sent it to see what would happen. 

as far as I could tell when I clicked send it was sent and I wasn't charged anything for it.  

again does this mean if we just send a text it is free or what?

also why isn't there any indication our messages were sent. 

usually you will either see sent messages go in a sent tab where you can delete those just like messages you recieve or at the very least a message stating that your message was sent.

without this I have no idea if it was sent successfully.

I"m sure maybe someone will have some other suggestions but from my experience with in game mail systems they all seemed to have these features or most of them and mail in this game will be far less confusing to use if we had some more features.

also are there only two mail boxes currently in game which both are in ec. 

I know one in ec fountain area and if I remember there was a mail box near the rivalry lounge however not sure that one actually works since I didn't check it out yet.

If there are more outside of ec I hope HC is considering putting indicators  on the map. that would help us find them.

anyway until I get confirmation about costs of sending mail and a way to use mail using in game currency not ep I just won't be using it. 

  I do still want to push for improvements though. 

I had hoped it would be a way to use this not only for messages but for trade purposes while we wait for auction house.

oh and on that note, there should be something in place when we send items if it's for exchange of trade, gold/ep and or goods where by we have some security that this transaction will be legit between players.

as in other games where if you send something you can choose for example C.O.D so the person say trading mats to someone sends it and chooses C.O.D and until the buyer sends payment for said items they can't retrieve it.

 If they don't pay within a certain amount of time the item simply goes back to the sender.

sure there are some other set ups for this sort of transaction used by mail systems.

They already have mentioned creating a new pvp map which if more fun for the pvp players may have them going there more when and if it comes out however HC may also put in place some tempting rewards that even pve players may want to venture on the map though I kind of doubt they add obtainable mats there because we have that already with TA and why repeat that.

even so there are still dailies some of us will still want to do including the pvp players and any pvp map that is open to everyone whether we are pve or pvp comes with the pvp warning applied to it.    I"m very much like maya, pve player who while I've been asked by friends to come and join pvp stuff (arenas, pvp play in ta) and I appreciate their offer to teach me I know from my own past experiences in other games I'm just not built for pvp competitions.

I distinguish pvp from pk style pvp as in pvp between two or more players that is agreed upon for fun and competition or within a setting like arenas or how in other games they may have things like guild competitions etc and pk'ing random players in an open pvp map.

I'm one of the peaceful player types that I am not interested in pk'ing players and have no need to kill them for mats or tokens.

I rather not have drama for those that don't take things lightly when killed nor do I like making someone feel bad if they are sensitive to these kind of attacks (some will be and some won't).   however I know when I head to TA there is a chance someone may attack me regardless of that.  

my options are to go when I feel maybe there is less chance of that.  to do my dailies and then head off the island.  come help with PL then leave.   try to leave before someone I know will in fact attack me because they are in rampage mode lol and hope I get off the island before they find me lmaoo.   die when attacked and then go do something else lol.    try to pew pew back which usualy is like seconds before I die anyway hahaaa...must be boring for them to attack me.

meh I may lose mats I have on me or even a token if I haven't deposited it ( I am ocd with tokens, so you are never gonna get a token but maybe one if you do cuz I deposit them as I get them lol) but it's not like I can't go back another time and if I"m foraging after I get my dailies done and I lose stuff I just forage outside of ta (which I mostly do anyway so I can be semi not paying attention if I want to).

those that may catch me there and pk me ( on my mage that could happen especially even some people that know my main may not realize that's me lol) welp, it's not big deal. I went there I already know the risk.

btw if you kill me during PL and I"ve already attacked it, please note that I will just wait till it's dead, I still get my daily done and then you have one less person that came to help. 

  I just don't bother to head back because it's a waste of my time to keep getting killed and coming back while we are killing PL in the process and I can get my daily done either way. js.   rarely happens but when I am at PL I"ve come to participate to help those that may not be able to kill it without the higher players so I just assume if you must kill me, wait till after it's dead lolol.

what! lol no no leave rangers alone QQ. lol   I like to put on my shield when I'm doing solo stuff at times because I think it helps me a little more in certain situation rather then having just both 1h's on.   I see no reason to change what we can use.

I"m not pvp so I assume players are mostly saying stuff like this because of pvp reasons but I don't want to be penalized for being a pve player just because some want changes in the classes or what we use because some pvp.

that goes for any class really but I have only capped a ranger so far so I can't speak for other classes though I have a 3x mage as well which I have yet to fully understand it all and learn in the process of lvling when I do.
