I do not think I need to post my oppinion about the relic group change, it's rather obvious BUT ......

guys, you thought 5 was horrible, it's NOT just 5 ..... it's 10 baby, 10 !!!  :P

 

so 1 group => 10 relics !!! (do not forget the upgrades)  :P

 

I do not want to sound ungrateful BUT I would rather see 1 update that the community actually wants rather than 5 updates that the community does not want, need or care about !!!

 

please do NOT get me wrong, I am always happy to see any kind of update => this proofs that someone is working on FS !!!  :)

 

I would really appreciate it if HCS makes a GAME POLL (NOT forum poll so you reach more people) & let the community decide which update they want to see next (just gives us 5 choices & go with the majority vote, like you did in the past)

 

this would avoid wasting your time on "bad updates" which you will have to spend even more time to fix + actually get some updates that the community wants / needs, would be a WIN - WIN for both the community & HCS  :D

The rise and fall of the trolls

 

As I look into the campfire I recall old events. This is my story & I am the narrator of this tale. In the golden age wars were a common thing, many skirmishes occurred & among them a war between 2 super powers in which I took part in. Not a day went by without blood being spilt, heroes and warriors emerged, as did a certain individual. This particular one started calling himself the strongest in the whole realm, even went as far as crowning himself the leader. He had a deep rage burning inside him towards all races, he started demanding total obedience, dictating who to ally ourselves with, whom to talk to and the list goes on. When confronted by his allies he totally lost it, consumed by rage he started swinging his sword like a madman, attacking allies and enemies alike as his appearance took the shape of a troll. This led to the end of the war with his side losing due to his crazy actions & it is rumored that the mad troll was spotted mortally wounded in the “sacred plains”, waiting for his return …….

 

Unbeknownst to us all another troll was biding his time in the darkness, gathering information & observing those brave warriors. When he first made his move, he was accompanied by his obedient sidekicks, 2 naïve inferior goblins. He was a grotesque creature & unlike his predecessor he prided himself in lying, deceit & cowardice. The 2-faced troll twisted facts to his own liking with the help of his 2 naïve sidekicks & even had a god trusting him. Thus it lead to the realm deteriorating & people emigrating. He basked in the misfortune of others & as the people started losing all hope, a higher god descended enforcing a law that was not to the liking of the troll as he had seen through the trolls lies & deceit. Enraged that he could not find joy in the misfortune of others anymore he vanished, leaving behind his loyal sidekicks with a single message saying “Snow Shrine” …..

 

As time passed the 3rd & most insignificant troll made his appearance. He came from a wealthy family but as a child was neglected by his parents so he sought the attention of others, no matter what, which led to his delusions.  He built himself a secret base underneath his families estate & his wealthy lifestyle was provided by stealing from his grandma. His delusions grew so severe that he was banished from “free speech” which fueled his need for attention even more. He started stalking & pestering “the eternal defenders”, an order he admired by slipping letters under their doors just to get a reaction out of them. Seeing them ignoring him, he applied to join his idols but when they denied him entry his delusions manifested. Even after the troll joined the “laughing stock” order he would at nights stalk each member of “the eternal defenders”, sometimes slipping them letters and every now and then going after their flags, just to satisfy his abnormal need for attention. As I sit around the campfire I make my way back home, feeling the presence of the troll circling around my order excitingly shrieking in a high pitched voice for attention …..

More than 11 hours and no respawn of the witch that everyone wants to kill before the event ends yet the others have been spawning almost back to back Wyld Mari for one ,something is very wrong with this whole new titan situation very unfair for those that need 3k plus kills for the quest ...

 

11:00 08 Jan 2018 A 'Gospa Perchta (Titan)' spawn and more than 20 people trying to kill it with at least 10 having teleport 202 or 230  and now BG says spawn rate is normal for seasonal Titan ,not buying it

 at 24 hrs 1 spawn for Gospa Perchta titan  normal ????? ........

 

17 hours and no respawn from Gospa Perchta titan, they changed spawn rate in second week, in first week spawn rate was every 1-2 hours, now 1-2 spawns every day, did hcs say why they changed spawn rate?
it impossible that nothing was changed

they are both right, I have saved all gospa perchta spawn times from when the event started until now wit last spawn at (4:00 09 Jan 2018), I was bored

1.rst week spawn rate is about 50% from day 1-5.    about 35% from day 6-7

2.nd week spawn rate is about 4,1%-16,7%

The spawn rate has not changed at all. It's still spawning as a Seasonal Titan should. Remember, even the Seasonals are random, same as other Titans.

spawn rate changed for better after your post and 1 force spawn was added at (14:17 08 Jan 2018), now spawn rate is back to 1.rst week (day 6 -7)

 

I can show you spreadsheet with extarnal link to all spawn times

 

for the lost spawn times in second week can you please only spawn gospa perchta every hour or give community extra time, 1 day or what you see fit, sir?

 

this was best season event in years, I had fun, thanks all hcs team who worked on it :)

Those that couldn't compete before their introduction now can. Is that the problem?

hope you do not mind that I quoted your post:

if OP Composing ONLY allowed those that couldn't compete before their introduction now can then that would NOT be a problem at all BUT unfortunately OP Composing is a 1-sided battle against someone who is NOT using them him- /herself & has been proven by many players (through their experience), especially on the PvP Ladder / GvG !!!

 

I have been on both ends & know it is a 1-sided battle, can not really call it "competing" when 1 side (OP Composing) is overhelmingly "obliterating" the other one (buffs) tongue.png

 

for me OP Composing VS buffs is almost the same as buffs VS NO-buffs, 1 side will obviously have a HUGE advantage & "obliterate" the other one blink.png

 

as usual please feel free to put yourselves "at both ends": use buffs VS OP Composing target & then use OP composing VS buffs target to verify (best on PvP Ladder / GvG) !!!

 

Unless Super pots are used against other Super pots it's disingenuous to claim it's challenging to battle an opponent in PvP.

I'm not suggesting we do this, but one option for 'overpowered' skills would be to give them a diminishing return. This would allow the potions levels etc. to remain unchanged and ensure that the higher levels are still more powerful, but not crazily powerful if you know what I mean? It would also open up to possibility of even higher level buffs of some skills where it would have made them too powerful previously.

 

This is purely an example, but something along the lines of this:

 

Sample Skill: +1 per point to attack up to skill level 250. After 250, +0.1 per point to attack.

 

Go with this initial idea Hoof, apply it to all stat affecting buffs, for all aspects of the game.

 

Job done, you hit the nail on the head with your first strike of the hammer.

I doing 42 times more damage than creature hp, this not normal, this crazy

this from hunting and in pvp is same problem, there still players who saying epic skills not OP for they can keeping having winning button, lol

42 times is NOT just "overkill", rather a "FATALITY - kill" :P

I thought I was the only one who noticed those contradicting posts

 

one talks about that he wants a challenge in pvp but is ok with him using epic skills against players who do not, for him that is a challenge

 

another one talks about strategy to beat epic skills but in the end his strategy to beat epic skills is to use epic skills too and epic skills need to stay in pvp

 

the next one has to use epic skills to beat another player with epic skills on the board and at the end of her post she does not want changes or it will ruin pvp

I am grateful to everyone who is trying to promote "fair, strategic and competitive PvP gameplay" (like the OP from wootpk3r) BUT I am most grateful to those who are against it & want EPIC skills (OP Composing) to stay in PvP because their own posts have proven 2 things:

Sorry but I'm totally confused. Composing pots in relation to PvP makes it to easy or to hard, which is it? Anyone reading this would have to admit there are a fair few contradicting posts in here.

I thought I was the only one who noticed those contradicting posts

Just completed a tough bounty. I had composing pots, they had even higher level chest pots. They had incredible stats. It took me a while to figure out how to kill them some of the time. Eventually, I was able to clear. It was a lot of fun and rewarding. Composing pots are fine the way they are. Please don't ruin it by making changes. Thanks 

you proving 2 things what we keep saying about crazy high composing

 

1) you needing using epic skills to beating epic skills on BB

 

2) more than 1 month you staying first place in pvp ladder, before crazy high composing it was very very difficult for staying on pvp ladder in first place for months with compitition, it not mattering how good pvper you was, there was only 1 pvper in all years until now who doing this and he was in lowest band

after crazy high composing many players who not pvpers starting staying easy first place in pvp ladder, they beating easy everyone who not using epic skills like them, what pvpers who having very much long experience in pvp never can doing on pvp for staying months at first place, now players who not pvpers can easy doing this with crazy high composing, this is scaredy cat of pvp and disgrace that non pvper can easy beating all pvpers with crazy high composing

 

 

this is my fourth time asking the same question to leos3000 and I did not get an answer, I will use size 24 and orange color for you to see the question, impossible for you to not see it now

I used composing for the relic war, however as I said I did not in seasons. I used the chests we won from seasons and other global pots as they are better than composing pots.

Before the "OP" buffs, did you pvp?

you not knowing answer how pvp was before crazy high composing because everyone knowing you not doing pvp before crazy high composing was bringing to game, you only starting pvp after I and other pvpers posting in forum that crazy high composing is winning button and is bad for pvp

 

hoofmaster please go asking biggrim to knowing this player always lying against pvp, biggrim knowing truth and you can reading his forum postings in years for proving

For EXAMPLE, make some skill use some outlandish number of skill points that notifies you of a chest spawning within 25 levels of your current realm. Make some other useful non-combat skills, like Teleport.

been trying for over 2+ years to get your attention on this subject but finally you are here wub.png

 

unfortunately OverPowered skills have crippled all kind of "PvP" (PvP Ladder, BB, GvG, relic battles) activities !!! sad.png

 

the most "damage" to PvP has been undoubtly done by Composing !!!

here are the Composing skills that are OP & IMO should be changed to only work in PvE !!! (they should not work in PvP)

as you can see I did not include any of the leveling skills like (LF, AM, .....) since I mostly care for the PvP aspect of the game, if the levelers are happy with the mindless hunting (1,2,3,R, ....) then who am I to get involved in their game-style, I hardly level, once or twice a year & only do that so that I can level into the range with the most players because of the measly -/+ 10 attack range !!!

I did not include Anti Deflect so it could counter Deflect192 !!!

I did not include Entrench mainly because the skill level (1 - 200) is only adjustable through Composing !!!

 

the number OP epic skills like donation chests, Global chests, .... are limited EXCEPT for COMPOSING !!!

the number of OP Composing skills are almost "unlimited" (as long as you have frags but frags are very easy to get incl that EVERY LE & GE rewards them !!!

there are players with millions of frags (I know of at least 10+ people) so we can create TONS of EPIC OP skills ourselves !!!

 

as mentioned before OP Composing has crippled PvP:

  • PvP Ladder: has become a joke, just look at the bands where players use them to constantly stay at the top, those of us who had to go against them fully know that to compete against OP skills you have to use OP skills yourself !!! I have helped many players (most were NON PvPers) get their Dominance medal in about 2 weeks since nobody (who only used buffs) could stop them while they were composed, only another OP composed player could compete against them !!!
  • BoutyBoard: have seen many bounties expire from players who used OP Composing pots, incl. me too ....
  • GvG: I used to be GF of a very good GvG guild (before OP Composing was introduced), we would go offline in PvP setups & when we were under attack we would buff to defend incoming attacks !!! BUT after OP Composing it hardly mattered anymore if you buffed the target with buffs since most attackers were using OP Composing & the difference in stats were simply too great, GvG guilds know exactly how OP Composing has negatively affected GvG !!! when I was doing GvG attacks I hit EVERYONE, did not matter if the target was buffed to the teeth or unbuffed, did not really matter since I was composed up & never lost a battle !!!
  • relic battles: those of us who have been in relic battles know that OP composing has a huge impact !!! you can achieve insane stats attacking / defending ......

 

@hoof: you do not have to listen to anything I or anyone says, since you are an admin & have access to see things "behind the scenes", you can observe how players use OP composing almost as a "WIN - button" on the (PvP Ladder, BB, GvG, relic battles) & "wiping out" any players who are not using OP composing themselves !!! access player logs, see for yourself the frag amount some players have (millions of frags to create TONS of EPIC OP Composing skills), the person you should trust the most should be yourself, trust what you see / observe smile.png

My problem with this 'uber' buffs goes beyond their use in pvp, it comes down to the fundamental watering down of the game mechanics themselves. When you can mindlessly drink a few of this grossly overpowered potions and then blindly roflstomp anything and everything that comes your way, then you have lost some of the magic that used to make the game a good game.

 

We no longer need to work things out, taking the mathematics out of a maths based game is just illogical.

 

The OP had it right though, quite a lot of us have become so hopelessly dependant on our own private win buttons (make no mistake, that is precisely what these are, unless you are completely incompetent) that they will fight tooth and nail to keep them, and have come up with all kinds of justifications as to why it is okay to water the game down.

 

When I initially saw this thread I simply smiled to myself and thought, "I agree wholeheartedly, but nothing is going to change." Then I saw that you yourself had spoken up here and I thought, "What the hell, maybe it's not pointless after all."

 

So in essence my problem with these buffs, is that they make everything too easy and take away our need to think.

Unless Super pots are used against other Super pots it's disingenuous to claim it's challenging to battle an opponent in PvP.

 

& hoof, PLEASE do not "leave" before you have taken care of this "issue"(been over 2+ years), let's make the "1st step" & start moving away from watering down PvP !!!
