Oh, and it would really be nice if people could be more positive about things.
This place has a toxic feel that's a real downer.
I'll see what they come up and cherry pick for me, just as others will.
Happy gaming and cheers.
When the "food" is going off, is it any wonder that customers start getting sick ?

An idea for this could be perhaps implement an "Event Stamina Bank" (...)
Again I'll say, this is NOT stamina provided to us, this is stamina that we are taking from ourselves and dedicating it to the daily events stamina bank.

I would like to suggest we get some filters for our backpacks ..this has bugged me for ages but now its becoming tiresome..
When we have events like now and players hunt/farm items for fragging or to sell would be nice if i could filter the perfects from the rest.
i sell my spare items for fragging but keep the perfect craft incase i can sell a few problem is unless you check each and every one you cant filter them, would be nice if we could have a check box to show only a set craft like we do in ah

Leos3000 invented Composing so the analogy is valid as he did so around 3-4 years ago, why don't you ask him, but never mind I o not wish to derail this thread further.
Unfortunately "composing" is nothing like Leos original concept. I went for the derail, bugger it.
Cheers.

A game is meant to be competitive. That is why many of us choose to play games.
I am very competitive and that stimulates my gameplay.
Dont take the fun out of our game because you choose not to be competitve.
There is a difference between being competitive and needing to win. And you don't have to compete against other people to be competitive.
I know a number of distance runners who are extremely competitive, but the thing they are always trying to beat is their own time.
I will be very happy if some of these dailies are player vs players (by which I do not mean "PVP", but any competetion with a small number of winners), but I also hope that some of them use a broader concept of competition, and that some of them present challenges rather than competition.

Why not both?
Perhaps have a daily non-competitive activity with a relatively minimal award - like someone else suggested, some loyalty points (of course, need to add more goodies in loyalty - the more OP, the better ;-p )
Perhaps a weekly (or monthly) leaderboard for various challenges? Some requiring stam, some requiring skill, some requiring dumb luck, some requiring guild, etc.
Unlike previous iterations where HCS's rewards are initially huge, maybe start off with no reward/tiny reward... just bragging rights as a kind of beta to see how the activity goes.
anyway, let's keep this positive folks and think about the game as a whole. not just yourselves ;-p

I'd think stamina would be involved in most of the events in some form or another. I also think having a good mixture of different event types will keep it interesting. I think it would be difficult to be first in every daily event regardless of how much stamina you had and not all event rewards would appeal to every player I don't think.
And yeah the events will be available to all players, it was just whether or not it should be tiered into (large) level bands. I'm swaying towards that it shouldn't be, but open to ideas on it!
Hoof, please consider taking out the competitive element! I am a bit disappointed you are not addressing this comment from the community. It has been mentioned multiple times and posts about it have been liked.
Really, if you keep in the competitive nature of daily events, you are missing the whole point of them. I have never played a game (and I have played quite some!) that have competitive daily events with just rewards for few, as their whole goal is to keep players active and participating.
There are a lot of new players that give up on this game within the first few weeks, this is a way to keep them interested as it would break the monotous nature of this game. They would not stand a chance if these daily events were of competitive nature.

If free FSPs are going to be put in the game I would like to see them as bound and can only be used on character upgrades. So that it has a minimal affect on the auction house, gold, and buff market.

I hope you all enjoyed the Double XP event. On a positive note, I think it was the most lag-free one yet ![]()

I think you need to change the concept. Remove the competition element from dailies. Just give the community individual tasks that give a reward to all that complete it.
Otherwise you will see that the dailies will be dominated by medal hunters, large stam banks and EOC players and then you are missing the whole point of dailies, which in my opinion is to increase general activity and give more meaning/purpose/activity to this game.
Encourage and reward activity in general is far better than another ingame competition that will be dominated by a few.
Also instead of rewarding fsp, you could also reward loyalty tokens, just make sure more useful things/upgrades/potions can be bought with them. In a way it makes more sense, as I think loyalty and dailies have a connection. It also prevents messing up the fsp flow in the game to much.

I think a 5 day season would work as a global. Including a season based auto BB etc. Go the whole hog and let it play out. Have community goals for total hits made, and individual hit goals set also. Go for it. Have a hit leader board for extra rewards.
If folk don't like the idea of the auto BB, just drop it, I'm not wildly fussed. It might be fun though.
But all the coding is there, so I'd hope it could be activated without too much extra work. A PvP global is long overdue, I think that side of the game needs it. The global may help more people get into that aspect of the game too. Maybe not me - but who knows? More activity is good at this stage.
In the end I think it would be good for the game to have a 5 day season global, or make it 7 day if that allows the mechanics to play out better. Also allow ticks toward the season medals to be achieved, that will also draw in players.
Ultimately every player will decide whether or not to participate, as is the case for all globals. Medal ticks, extra rewards for placing on the leader board/ in the various tiers, if they were retained, would be cool. If the seasons BB is not used for the duration of the event the question would be would global hits be bountyable on the regular BB? I would say no, as possibly getting dropped 5 for participating in a community event seems counter to the idea of fostering community participation. But if folk argue for it strenuously we can let it play out and see how it affects player participation. That will be the true reflection of the global's success, and the rules could be tweaked going forward based on the experience.
Just don't take forever over it folks!

Personally we've had more coding updates the past several months than we had been seeing over the couple years prior to that. People throwing a fit over Seasons rather than suggesting changes to it did more to stifle what the cows were working on methinks than people realize.

I hope you guys do, and you manage to break free this time.
Don't take this the wrong way wil because I don't mean this is an argumentative or derogatory way.
Scotland was subjugated long ago (in many peoples eyes, which has led to a lot of deep seated resentment), so it is kind of understandable that they wouldn't mind switching what they perceive as their English Oppressors, for different ones in Brussels/Germany.
English people don't have their mindset, noone will be ruling us thank-you very much.
We are pretty much self ruled as it is mate. Should be even more so if the "British" government had lived up to their promises given when swaying the first referendum. Oppression from others? Nae! Common sense. As a smaller country we need the easy trade lines. And as an independent we would have much to trade, win, win.
Cheers.
