#962426 gvg needs to b fixed

You missed my point entirely.

I'm saying it doesn't matter if GvG benefits your guild or not, it is merely another part of guild life. You can't just cherry pick all the bits you want, only keep the parts that are 'beneficial' to you. You have to take the ups and the downs together.

As I said, there already is an opt out, unfortunately that opt out also opts you out of many of those other benefits I just mentioned.

The way I see it, being in a guild provides many MANY bonuses to a player. Free gear, buffs, stat enhancements, pleasurable company, advice, cheese, cookies and all the salt and vinegar crisps you can eat.

The potential of being attacked in a GvG is the counterbalance to all of these tremendous upsides and must remain.

I'm sorry Pythia, I figured it'd be obvious I was joking.

The only way to 'opt out' is to be in an ineligible guild.

There is an opt out. I've done it.

I said the same thing when they started Jedi.

Unfortunately many players just thought 'easy frags' and didn't even bother contemplating what the larger affects would be while they were trying to shout me down.

"Can care less about leveling buffs."

*couldn't care less*

O.o

No, potions should be personal use only, without exception.

They're already the most overpowered aspect of FS as it is.

So, the existing BM300 (pre-distil) potion is already far too powerful?

I'd give you a shovel but it looks like you can dig yourself a hole just as well without. ;)

Technically GvG can be optionally.

I for instance am GvG immune. :P

Sure, 75 loyalty tokens actually seems like a  pretty nice sum.

That will also have the effect of making non-donating lower stam players alternate between 1-hitting hunting runs and AS hunting runs. (As and when they have the AT's to go for the more efficient AS route)

Honestly?

I'm not sure it should really be an arena potion, I know this thread is about arena potions but I can't help but be jaded about the fact many people already have enormous stockpiles of arena tokens, so any discussion about token prices is ultimately redundant. If some people wanted they could crash markets, almost regardless of prices.

For the AS1k I'd really like to see it be in the special section of the AH. Perhaps give it a 100k starting price?

(OF course this would REALLY make the other AS potion completely redundant, but in this case I think that'd be acceptable, change that potion into something else.)

If it absolutely HAS to be an arena potion? Then your asking the wrong person, 'cheap' is about the only answer I could give.

The only AS potion is Life Blood Cave Potion (Arterial Strike 300). A jump of 700 levels seems...bloomin' huge!

Sure the jump in levels may seem large, and it is. It is also the only way I can think of to make multi hitting an actual viable option, versus the current monotony of designing a simple maximum damage setup, to try and 1-hit everything.

With this potion in circulation, the fundamental philosophy behind hunting setup design can/will be altered.

The same cannot really be said about just throwing out another uber powerful stat enhancing potion.

(Although it would be a high level potion, it SHOULD NOT be made prohibitively expensive. We want everyone to try their hand at designing a setup that can survive a return hit)

Arterial Strike would be one of the few buffs I would advocate sending out as an uber.

AS 1100 would make it actually 'better' to 2 (or more) hit a creature.

I know a lot of people never even consider anything other than '1-hit' which to me is a shame.

An uber AS might change some peoples minds and actually get them thinking and doing some maths etc?

The enormous stockpiles of arena tokens make me very jaded towards arena related stuff.

If some people wanted they could instantly crash the prices of arena items anyway.

#961567 Long term skill points

Posted by Mister Doom on 31 March 2016 - 22:57

You could always rebalance the system.

Set it so level 1 - 1000 remains the same.

1001 - 2000 receives 4 skill points per level

2001 - 3000 receives 3 skill points per level

3001 - 4000 receives 2 skill points per level

Cap it so that eventually we only receive a max of 1 point per level.

Then hard reset everyones skills.

Bingo, you've just made your life easier, while at the same time making it so we won't have eleventy billion skill points to spend on things we don't need. (Advocating using personal skill points to spend on stuff 'other people' could want is an unacceptable solution. Sorry Grim)

Probably not the most popular solution, then again anything that takes away anything from people in this game always come under fire. Doesn't mean certain things shouldn't happen though.
