#978481 It's about time to balance out those overpowered pots in PvP.

Posted by Leos3000 on 27 March 2017 - 00:39

PVP has always been about having a combination of the best level skills and pots. It also is about having an understanding of what type of gear to wear with the buffs you have cast. Some buffs hurt 1 set and help another.

What has happened over the years is the pots have steadily increased in level, but the castable buffs have remained stagnant. This can be looked at as a good or bad thing based on how you play the game.

If your a player who was used to selling buffs or being self sufficient all the time the increase in pots level makes it harder to be competitive.

If your a merchant or composer this gives you an outlet to be active in the game and sell potions.

People used to buy buffs all the time when they pvped, now they have to buy potions instead (which is more expensive) but at the same time is just different and requires adaptation.

Adaptation is the key to being successful in pvp, as your constantly adjusting to different stats and setups.

There are all sorts of pots out there that are comparable or better than composing buffs, composing pots have just become almost the same as castable buffs on the easy to buy them and the ability to constantly make them.

As I started this post I mentioned Castable buffs have remained the same max level for years, maybe its time some of them get a revamp on their max castable levels?

Obviously some should not go over 175 like (Treasure hunter, Merchant, Unbreakable, deflect, etc)

Some could use an increase in level like (Keen edge, Smashing hammer, CoA, CoD, Shield wall, Armor boost, Enchant Weapon, etc) Buffs that strictly increase stats.

This would also give people more options to use their skill points on. (I know I often sit with 100's of unassigned skill points as I see nothing to use them on)

This may or may not help with the complaining of overpowered skills... Though I have noticed some people will complain no matter what...

#969122 Frustration

Posted by iceman66 on 19 September 2016 - 20:30

*Everyone looks upon the post and sighs as it's something they have all heard before.  Sighing in disbelief, a feeling of disappointment rushes over their body as they realize"Here we go again."*

9 years I have played this game.  That is 3,285 days of joy, frustration, anger, envy and any other emotion that you can imagine.  Content has never been consistent in this game, and I let it slide.  Post's get deleted sometimes, but I brushed it off.  Mods sometimes take feedback personally and react irrationally, it happens.  All of things add up to what makes this game so special.  But there comes a time when something needs to be done.  Whatever that thing is, COMMUNICATION is key.

We've had legendary events which are cool for a bit.  We've had global events fairly regularly, awesome.  One thing that I do not understand is why we haven't had content updates for those of us who enjoy leveling?  We had 25 levels of content on April 29th, 2016.  Then on June 30th, 2016 (Double XP weekend), we had 100 levels the first day, then a surprise 50 levels the next (which I promised myself I would not get into).  It's September 16th today which means that in approximately 5 months of life, we've received 175 levels of content.

You have nearly 170 players that are considered EoC.  1 years ago that number was ~50.  What this shows me is that content is not coming out fast enough and that as every day goes by, you are going to have more EoC people sitting at the top losing interest because why would they want to play a game that releases content twice a year?  At this rate, by the end of the year you're going to have people who are EoC who aren't even in the top 250.  Does that seem right?  You have well over 100 players who are actually 5 to 40 levels above EoC...but I digress.

You need to do better if you want to compete with other browser games.  Take this as an insult, take this as constructive criticism...up to you.  You are lucky that a remaining players in FS feel connected to the community...I know that is why I'm still around.  Thank you for your time.

#965323 where are the Titans hiding ?

Posted by EpicPiety on 06 July 2016 - 15:37

Thinning out the supply? The supply is fine. Again, Titans are not there for profit making. It's there for Guilds to work together and gain something for their Guild through team work. Like I said, I see no issue with trying this out with some of the seriously old Epics that have been around a long time.

The "teamwork" factor to do with TH has long since sailed. Titan's are the biggest profit makers in the game...Has been since the inception. That's one of the biggest/only reasons why it thrived. Otherwise everyone would hunt them once and wouldn't return. Eventually to become stagnant *like now* because unfortunately the rate of which FS gains players isn't enough to keep TH active on a "not for profit foreground". Profit has a big factor to do with titan health. Denying such would just be foolish. Proof is in the pudding...

Are you telling me it's fair to  spend 55k stamina to sublevel from 3051 to 3061  and today u decided to add more content ?and now i have to walk like 150 realms to get to the hunting ground ?

#959757 Runic Dwarven Chest

Posted by EpicPiety on 25 February 2016 - 20:16

The TP 200 out of the chest is WAY too powerful...Distilled i have a 0 second TP CD. Even if i didn't use distil i still have a 0 second CD. This chest needs to be rethought it's toxic to TH. Just used it and it was insanely overpowered and broken.

#957156 Titan Scout Tower Modification Suggestion

Posted by Pardoux on 15 January 2016 - 20:55

As a very recent convert to Titan Hunting (securing a Nutcracker on my 2nd attempt infected me with the bug), I was wondering if the scout tower could be tweaked (At LEVEL ONE) to indicate which guilds were currently on cooldown.

Now I know this isn't exactly important, but it may encourage more folk to try this activity, if they know that the speediest guilds can't compete against them and that they then actually have a chance of making progress.

On the flip side, I realise that perhaps not hunting against the elite means you won't improve your skills as fast as otherwise, but with all the allegations of scripting, there are certain guild(s) that I would prefer not to waste buffs and potions on, knowing that I've got a snowballs chance in hell of getting anywhere.

This is one of my biggest beefs with THIS particular event .. BigGrim has promised in the past that we would have hidden targets so that the people that did more than minimum but not top 100 would not feel so jilted... it was just untrue.

#927784 Unsold Auction House Items go Straight to Backpack Option

Posted by Yuuzhan on 09 April 2015 - 22:01

I got this idea reading the other Auction House Thread.  What if something happens and you cant get back online?

Can we have an option to have expired auctions go straight to our backpack if there is room, otherwise they stay in your mailbox?  This would be a nice catch all for people who have bought the BP, but have something come up and cant come online for a few days.

I personally cannot see any downside / abuse with this option, and it will save a bit of headache at least!

#912685 Annoying Arena Problem

Posted by EpicPiety on 29 December 2014 - 20:30

I don't even play anymore so my guild mates can enjoy it...Maybe increase it to 50% or even 75%? Heck even remove it...With the game dying and getting smaller and everyone condensing into a select few guilds i don't see the need for it. Sure people might abuse *not even worth it in the slightest to be honest* but that's less likely with arenas filling faster with no restriction. Say 80 arena tokens are what 4 fsps those are usually 16 entry arenas it costs more to abuse it than it pays out. It was only effective against the High value low participant arenas which don't exist anymore. There really is no argument in why its needed in the arena now a days. Sure you can cheat your medal but you need to coordinate that with at least 7-15 players and we all know how that's gonna pan out... you guessed it it's not.

#875486 Arena Update v2.48

Posted by shindrak on 25 June 2014 - 15:02

it is very odd, might be an idea for someone KNOWLEDGABLE who plays often atm to give a bit of input into what tokens each thing should be worth, depending on how tokens are earned most resources should be worth AT least 15/20 times the tokens of EW1000, FI1000 :)

In example BM300 while it worth like 40 fsp in AH i don't think 20 token is right price

Whatever screw that 8k gold worth of 1 token ,it depends on how are they going to make the token reward system.

#815310 Next Roadmap...

Posted by koenvdv on 07 October 2013 - 12:51

A new XP level formula for composing ... with this one it gets hard to fast and people with few time, frags or gold can't get a decent level and loose interest. It's also discouraging that it takes months just to get to doubler or AM. To try and make starting with composing easier and get people to actualy try it, the XP formula needs to be changed.

If you would change the amount of XP needed for next level from linear to the power of 2 then you would get fast leveling at start and slow leveling at the end. The total XP formula will then be a with a power of 3. A XP formula with the same XP at level 50 is for example:

XP =((LVL-1)^3)*5

For comparasing I have put the old and new formula in a graph:

Knipsel_zpseac9b4e4.jpg

XP =((LVL-1)^2)*25      XP =((LVL-1)^3)*5

#814306 Next Roadmap...

Posted by Placeboo on 02 October 2013 - 03:31

1) This thread: http://forums.hunted...showtopic=58838

(sorry for the banter in the posts following the original)

2) More spots per backpage page

3) Faster content (last one took  2-3months?)

4) Some new arena gear.

5) Benefits for having medals / higher tier medals

6) Unique / new buffs. Last time "we" discussed buffs most player were saying we want something new and fun that changes gameplay. That we dont just want damage or defense buffs, hunting is to easy as is. This time around it would be nice to see some more unique buffs, its been talked about to death but I will reiterate: tunneling through certain walls, teleporting etc.

1. Content needs to be released more frequently.  Every 2 months is ridiculous.  People wonder why we all delevel and relevel? It's because we have no other way to gain GXP.  Plain and simple.  Fix the root of the problem and everyone is happy.

2. Arena is in desperate need of new arena levels.  I think the highest arena level is like 1200 (I think) and players are 1750-1800 now.  That isn't right.  Add more arena levels that suit EVERYONE in this game.

3. Hellforging.  I  stopped hellforging stuff post-level 600 because it literally costs like a billion gold/FSP for stats that are not needed.  If you want people to use gold and stuff to hellforge, either make it cheaper, change the formula, or increase the hellforge bonuses.

Here is a little example: To hellforge something that is level 1775, the total gold cost is 8,253,750 gold and 10 FSP.  Basically you are looking at over 10,000,000 gold.  Does that not seem absolutely insane to anyone else?  You get like 25 extra stats points

4. PvP Ladder- We need new sets to build.  Why would we want to partake in the PvP ladder with the current rewards? The market is flooded with PvP ladder sets that are out dated.

Agree with all this. Never thought of improving hellforge, havent forged anything above 100 or so that isnt an epic. All the rest falls into the lack of production / new gear which is dismal.

5. Elite sets and other sets.  Please at least have a look at what sets are prevalent in FS and make some drops that are worthwhile.  What I mean by this is just take a minute to look at what gear goes together.  For example: if you release a weapon/ammy set (I'm thinking pounamu), don't release a set the breaks it...release sets that gel with it.  I don't think I've gotten a worthwhile drop from a champ or an elite since kummars which is 1460.  That is >240 levels ago.

Ya, but you really dont want sets that easily go together , breaks arena and every1 just ends up using the same thing.
