Just installed new version of Java. Now Eldevin says INSTALL JAVA. I went through all the suggestions. Java is properly installed on Chrome. Cleared Cache. Now what?

Thanks HCS.

What happens when you visit: https://www.java.com....jsp?detect=jre

I've just installed update 65 and it works for me. Any clues as to what operating system and anti virus solutions you guys are running? Just seeing if there's a correlation.

Chrome has just released an update, can you check if updating chrome fixes it? You can update it by going to chrome://chrome/

I installed new version of Java and tried to play but the game just stopped every time and tells me to install java .

I tried the link the staff posted and it said You have the recommended Java installed (Version 7 Update 65)

I'm using fire fox .

The client should still work if you prefer using that for the meantime. Would still like more info, like what operating system people are using? Anti virus solutions?

The only workaround I can find is to downgrade to update 60. You can get update 60 (32 bit) here: http://javadl.sun.co...?BundleId=90223

You will need to uninstall update 65.

I'm using windows 7 , I tried shutting down Anti virus but it doesn't work .

We've got a possible fix and we are attempting to do the changes soon. Will post back here once the fix has been made.

Chrome is updated. Java test says everything is working ok. Norton Anti-Virus. Vista Home Premium 32=bit Service Pack 2. I was running fine before upgrading Java. I just tried running in the browser again and got the same "Install Java" message. I am currently using the client to get my Eldevin fix. It used to be flakey with the mouse but seems to be working fine now.

I haven't updated my java since I started this game, just updated to 7 which I assume then was .60, i'll check but seems the common issue here is that people been updating to 7.65 and one person mentioned he went back to .60 and it's working fine.

I was on a little after maint. in my early morning yesterday and got on but I have been experiencing lag past several days and I'm pretty sure it's not my pc or internet since everything else is fine.   so thought i'd just pop that here.    I rarely have had lag issues with game and a few others I mentioned it to said same so not sure it's game or not.

hope the java issues can be resolved so everyone can play.  gl guys.

I'm just taking it slow, not sure about the steady.

sooo tonight I just tried to log on. so far I only tried firefox browser.   I tried a few times reloading the page.  I haven't updated my java to the newest java 7. 65 and was able to log in as early as thursday morning but now just like Momo and some others it just shows the black box.  at first it looks like it is starting, that little circle of dots for a second and then nothing.

I'm going to try another browser and then if all fails I'll try the client.   I felt more laggy in teh client and sometimes it didn't work but hopefully we can at least play some from that till this is resolved.

update : ok soo I tried in another browser and i noticed it asked me permissions just like when I first played eldevin, ( the java that is).  in short atm, it is working.   guess I'll check b ack later to see if it works in firefox again.

I installed the Java 7 U65 version days ago and the game was working just fine until tonight and that was on my usual browser..Firefox. I switched to IE with the updated Java 7 U65 and the game loads fine and I can play so I don't think its so much a problem with Java upgrade as it is the game itself is apparently having random problems across the board with the Java upgrade  on different browsers.

Like for me I have Windows 7 64 bit with the present Java 7 update 65 and I usually use Firefox as my browser and it worked just fine for me yesterday but tonight its stuck on the Install java screen.  So I tried switching Browsers to IE with the Java 7 U65, and the game loaded just fine and I can play.  So again I don't think its us but the game itself that is randomly having issues with the java update in random browsers.

Hope that helps.

Uninstall all versions of Java (verify the Java folder is gone after you uninstalled Java).

Then simply reinstall the latest version of Java.

This should fix your issues.

I am now using IE and its working, it won't work on FF anymore.

The problem I have is when using IE I can't always get the Forum to let me stay logged in, hence the long delay in replying to this.

We fixed some issues with Firefox this morning, can you check if it's working for you now?
