How about a profession that allows you to make gems .... ?

Yes, it would crash the economy [if there is one that is] but it sure will make crystal cutting worth more , i mean gems are obtained from furnishing, cutting & refining crystals right?

*ready for the complaints , let's hear them! *

Your post doesn't seem clear (to me). Are you saying that fusing dungeon gems should give crystal cutting experience? The only way to obtain gems that I'm aware of is bosses (+rare mob drops) and mining crystal for jewelry gems. What is furnishing and refining? Is this some sort of polishing?

It would not crash the economy if the drops from dungeons would be uncut gems that you could cut them for other people (maybe for profit). Plus, as you level in that profession, you would decrease your cost to fuse gems (1% discount by level applied to gold cost and fusion powder cost). Another way to make profits. ;)

Would be cool if you could improve the gems you find, and maybe even be able to remove gems from gear for a less cost or gold cost instead.

Only if it was a chance to improve or fail (and destroy/smash the gem). The percentage swinging the higher lvl you got in the skill

I've never understood why it costs the same to remove a cracked gem as a perfect one.  As suggested in another post (too tired to look for it), the cost should be tiered with only the best gems (defined and above?) requiring ep.

Is this your suggestion? It already exists in game. Are you suggesting that they add diamond nodes, emrald nodes, amber (etc) and then you could mines those nodes for cracked gems which could be polished into jagged?

As mining - crystal cuting chance find uncut gem's - Cut - polish 2 nd materail to cracked or higher.

Take cracked gem upgrade them to higher lvl's, As lvl skill Reduced cost remove gem's other thing's

chance to fail get fusion powder as bye prodoucted or crystal powder, Changing way upgrade gem's at more reasunable price scale, Gem heath in town but changing into skill can lvl with risk and reward.

This can be tied in with another skill, Disabling for more way find uncut gem's - Add them to farming fishing find chest with randoum item - uncut gem.

Or you could add it into a new gathering skill. Which will boost the entire economy for lower lvl people.

Make a skill Disenchant or something like that and make it possible to disenchant cracked, Jagged, Flawed gems. Into fusion power like 1/Cracked, 2/Jagged, 4/flawed, or something like that. It will force people to run the lower dungeons where low lvls have issues finding teams. Also it'll make the cracked gems sellable to others.

Also by doing something like this you make a skill they can't just max to 45 in 2 days as you'll need a shitton of flawed gems to do the 32-48 part. :D

This would bring grinding a skill to a totally new lvl and as rares go it would be possible to get a higher lvl tier gem from it like, A flawed from cracked and up to glim from flawed ones.

Just a small idea probly needs a lot of finetuning to do something like this :D
