The topic is the suggestion.
Sitting right between the 'stack' and 'close' buttons, it's a bit too easy to hit by accident. While it can be useful in some circumstances, more often I keep my inventory manually sorted. Pressing this by accident then means resorting.

I'd hate to have to press another button just to sort out my items. Honestly, I prefer the way it is right now.

Maybe have it on the bottom of the window or make the buttons bigger? I personally feel that the entire interface needs to be bigger. Everything's so tiny and we can't zoom in on them.

I've done this accidental miss clicking few times as well, gladly its not that big of deal, but yeah you've got to rearrange things after that. Perhaps some small tweak could change this.

I have also clicked the sort button by mistake a few times, and it's really frustrating because then all my carefully organized items are all out of order, and if your bag is fairly full, there's not enough room to shuffle things around to try to put it back.

btw, same idea of sort confirmation has been suggested before 
hmm, idea #2 - maybe this way it could work: add checkbox including underlying functionality
options window => graphics tab => [ ] hide sort button

Since this thread has become current again...
I don't want to entirely disable the sort button. Depending on what the BP is storing I may sometimes use it. How about if the checkbox is 'ask for confirmation' rather then 'hide'?

I'm all for making the buttons bigger - possibly even removing them from that top bit altogether and adding them to the Inventory window so they can actually say Sort and Stack instead of using the icons. I'll add it to the list of quality of life updates we're going to be making in the near future and see what we can do.
Just quoting myself from this thread - I think if the buttons were larger and clearer, we could just avoid people clicking them by accident altogether.
